Angry Tacoma Dome renamed Comcast Dome??

It's official: the Tacoma Dome in beautiful Tacoma has been renamed Comcast Dome after having found a sponsor for it. I'm getting sick of all these venues being named after corporate entities, Seattle Center Coliseum=Key Arena (from Key Bank), no more Kingdome, make way for Safeco Field, and now COMCAST DOME. How rock and roll. I can imagine the guys of Iron Maiden and them, and February's Linkin Park & P.O.D. concert going, "Yeah, we're gonna rock the Comcast Dome!!!!"

So when is Tacoma gonna name itself Comcast??

Yep, City of Destiny.

That's not as bad as US Cellular Field.

RIP Comiskey Park.

OMG, that is SOOOO bad. I'm getting this idea of a thousand cell phone listeners gabbing away during a game.

I wonder how much they would pay me to name my first child Comcast...

Try Petco Park. It's the Padres new stadium here in San Diego, even though it didn't have a name before.

They redid the whole thing, but I don't think they renamed it.

I don't really care about the newer ballparks or stadiums, but if they ever renamed Wrigley Field, Fenway Park or any of the older stadiums I would be pretty upset. They can keep renaming them but some places will always be the same - Candlestick Park will always be Candlestick Park to me.

That's how I felt about Comiskey....It was a tragic day when they renamed it. All I could picture was that annoying lady from the commercial's face all over the place. It'll always be Comiskey to me though...I'm never gonna call it US Cellular field.

Ho hum...

I read about it a couple days ago int the Tacoma News Tribune, but I forgot when they were going to make the name change, it was sometime early next year.

Even though Taco Bell is owned by Pepsi. Taco Bell does makes sense though.

Default Comcast Dome

This is so ridiculous! I can't wait to drive by it an see "COMCAST DOME" Painted on the roof all around in big red letters on the blue background. (This is said tongue in cheek, of course!) Good ol' Tacoma!

I'm surprised Seahawk Stadium is Paul Allen Arena. Key Center might be called the Qwest Center or PEMCO Plaza. LOL
