I just saw this episode recently, the one where certain people hear a persistent humming like the low rumble of a distant diesel truck idling. No one else hears it save for a chosen few.
Well, this past sunday, I opened my newspaper and they have an article on it and a research co. has been hired to investigate it. The article did not mention Unsolved Mysteries but I had to smile because UM beat them by how many years in reporting this! The article has people who hear the hum describing how it gives them headaches and makes them irritable - one man is 81 years old and the hum has been reported from Kokomo, ind. to New Mexico, England, Scotland, and Australia. |

I remember the episode- and thought it odd that they didn't mention the possibility that these folks from such a wide range of locales and backgrounds somehow corrsesponded together to pull a HUGE prank!
