A sad episode- Blair decided to give her BF (Casey was his name, I think...) a ride home in her Porsche one night when she was very tired. On her back way home (after dropping him off), she crashed into a tree (the audience never saw Blair driving or the accident). That same night, Blair was put into the hospital. She didn't experience any major injuries, but her face was bruised and she got a nasty gash on her head.
The girls and Beverly Ann went to visit her in the hospital. Blair mentioned that the doctor said that she must wait about 1 or 2 weeks before she can have plastic surgery. Meanwhile, Casey came to visit her in the hospital. Blair told him that she thought they should break up, but the real reason behind her saying this is because she felt that she wasn't good enough for him if she looked anything less than perfect. This is one episode where Blair had to come to grips with her vanity and learn the true meaning of love- Casey was not about to break up with her no matter what she looked like. This was one of the best ep's that showed Jo and Blair in a good moment, when Jo came into Blair's hospital room and boy was Blair glad to see her. The chemistry between Lisa and Nancy really shined in this episode, for sure. And it's one of my Top 10 favorites of all time for FOL!!
It's one of those episodes in Season 9 that you must see.... Blair: I didn't even see my life flash in front of me... Jo: Well, that would've killed ya for sure! ![]() ------------------ Nat: Who wants to be a skinny pencil? I'd rather be a happy magic marker! Blair: Blow it out your track shoes! Tootie: ...the thrill of victory and the agony of Da-Feet! Jo: Here's to all who wish me well, all the rest can go to...JERSEY! Mrs.G.: May God bless all your footsteps (from her last episode) |

This was one of the only good episodes of the last season. I actually cried when I saw this episode because the chemistry between Blair and Casey was so great and they had some great moments in this episode. Blair and Jo also connected very well in this one. Good makeup too!

YES!! It was one of those really neat Blair/Jo moments! I love that episode and was so so so mad when NAN skipped seasons like 7, 8,& 9 because of that episode!

I agree!! This was the BEST Jo/Blair moment. And if your like me make sure you have tissues handy! When Blair throws that pan thing where she saw her face, Oh that was great. And Jo is there, one of the best episodes i have seen.

This was a good Jo and Blair moment, but for some reason I felt that they connected more when I saw it during its first run in the 80's. Well, I guess it's because I paid more attention to the chemistry between Casey and Blair the 2nd time around.

This episode even had a "hidden message" in it:
A gash on your forehead (on the outside) may be ugly, but one on the inside is far more hideous and much harder to heal. Blair thought she was flawed for life. Casey had to show her where the REAL scar was. |
