Default Lisa Marie Presley's new album

It's expected out spring 2004. A March/April release date is being anticipated, but could change. But it will def. be out sometime in early spring, according to my "sources". Shes working with a lot of different producers.

Lets hope Capitol Records doesn't screw her over with this album, too.

Can't wait, To Whom It May Concern was one of my favorite albums of last year. But I don't think Capitol screwed her over. They gave her LOTS of promotion, but her album only had mild-success, it went GOLD because of "Lights Out," but after "Sinking In" everything sank in, and went downhill.

I still think that "S.O.B." and "Important" could of saved it.

Actually, they screwed her over with their sour deal with Clear Channel. Thats the reason Sinking In did so bad. Her contract was for at least 3 singles. The promotion stopped after Lights Out. She was basically promoting herself then(going on talk shows on her days off from touring). Capitol records sucks. They tried to make her release "Nobody Noticed It", for the obvious reasons, but she wouldn't do it.

Sinking In is one of the better songs on the album. It def. would of improved sales had they not started treating her like an independent artist.

I've been knowing this for a long time but I keep on forgetting to post it on here.

Lisa says (on her offical website) that she'll write during the holidays and start recording in Jan. And (like Nirvana sad) will be out in the spring or summer of 2004.

Lisa's good looking. Too bad she's 35.

And was married to Micheal Jackson.

I still don't think that Capitol or their deal with Clear Channel screwed her over. "Sinking In" wasn't exactly single material compared to the rest of the album, I'm proud of her for not releasing "Nobody Noticed It" though- she doesn't need anymore "feeding-off" comments.

I think that in order to be successful or get along with Capitol, you have to be mega-successful (for example, Coldplay.) If you are a mild-success like Liz Phair, Tracie Spencer, or Lisa Marie you are pushed to the side.

But when it all comes down, who gives a crap. To Whom It May Concern was a great album, and a pleasant surprise. I just wish that more people will recognize her talent with her sophomore release.

I just read this for the first time. Ha.

To Whom It May Concern-
"An absolutely phenomenoal debut from a woman who chose to not walk in the sugar-coated shoes of current so-called "trend-setters", but instead chose to pen an admirably crass (crass in a no-holds-barred intellectual way)alt-rock record. Filled with not one bad track, Elvis would be proud of his only child. She became a genuine writer, something the King always wished he could be."
