Question Best "California" moments!

I want to know what everyone thinks are the best moments from the California years of this show, 1965-1968...there are too many to think of now so I'm just going to let everyone else list theirs!

The fact that they got Lucy to mingle with so many celebrities, my own particular favorite being the Dean Martin one. Still my favorite ep from the entire series. All right, all right, the shower and the other classics from season one are tied with it!

That was a good one but I liked it even more when I learned that it was Lucy's all-time fave- one reason being the jacket she got to wear. I mean, there she was able to buy hundreds of any article of clothing in the world at a moment's notice. .. but she still reacted to said jacket as though she was a Goldwyn Girl fresh off the train dreaming of stardom and reuniting her fractured family!

I know, you're absolutely right, i had the same thought, the woman could buy and sell a multimilliondollar studio and sign deals worth millions, negotiated a hundred thou for Wildcat on a lunch break and the same for acquiring a train according to Gale Gordon and yet she was stunned by the beauty of this sequined jacket, and she looked terrific in it, the hair too, much more flattering and feminine, although it wasn't her signature look like the other normal look was, guess she wanted to appear younger looking for Dean. Like i've said before, if she liked the person she was working with, you could always tell, and in this particular case it showed even more. Check out Lucy gets Lucky, her special in Las Vegas with Dino, it was also a hoot. And the roast Dino did for her has one magic moment also, when Foster Brokks tells her her nickname in college was Luce pronounced Loose, the look she initially gives him could melt ice. But then, her own great sense of humor comes shining threw after a few seconds.

I do find it interesting why she liked the ep best of all time. I mean, Dean didn't even show up until midweek...you'd think that would really have gotten to her...it's interesting...

That's true, she was a stickler for overrehearsing every aspect of a show till it was perfect, yet she gave this leeway to Dino, maybe because he was a family friend and a supertalented individual she truly admired, i told you, it always SHOWED!
