Post ENOUGH NANCY PLEASE

I just saw a post promoting Nancy on "Touched By An Angel". Enough is enough. She should not be a role model try your parents. Plus she is not Marilyn Monroe in the looks department, nor is she a comedic genius like Lucille Ball, a great dramatic actress like Meryl Streep, or a Saint like Mother Teresa. Let alone all of the above, where some posters want to put her, like she is Christ, and the rest of the cast is medocre at best. I remember one person saying the show should be "Facts Of JO". BLAIR and MRS.G are every bit as important as JO. These posters are turning into Trekkies, obsessed with everything she does. Beam me up, enough Nancy, please.

Will you stop criticizing people? I think you just want attention. That is why you post these type of thing, huh?

I am not trying for attention. Or to offend anyone, but you want to hear about other cast members too. If I'm talking FOL, or Country music I don't want wall to wall Sherrie' Austin. If I'm talking sports I'm not just interested in the New York Yankees, or the Pittsburgh Steelers, or the New York Islanders. I like to hear about other teams as well. Blair and Mrs.G, were just as important as Jo was, and Tootie and Natalie not that far behind. Do I prefer Lisa best?, yes I do. But only on FOL. My favorite over all FOL alumni as far as acting is concerned(I'm leaving Sherrie's singing aside), is Molly Ringwald. I have seen over 20 of her movies, but I am the first one to say getting rid of her(and some of the other first season girls as well), and replacing them with Nancy Mckeon was a great move by NBC. But I would hope that some of the Jo fans can acknowledge the fact that others were important as well. Thank you, and sorry if I really hurt anyone.

We all know that Nancy wasn't the whole show. She might have given it a big boost...but she wasn't the entire show. The cast was assembled of 5 very talented actresses. It's just that some took different routes. Nancy took the route to remain in front of the cameras and is currently the most "well known", so she is the most talked about. She has had jobs on past FACTS, and alot of the others haven't. And if you want to get into sports:

Last year in September, when baseball was in its deciding games and the playoff standing were being set, how many times did you hear the TWINS or PHILLIES mentioned? The Yanks, Braves, Mets, etc. were the most "well-known" at the time.

No need to diss Nancy or her fans.

Everyone - Reminder * Please keep this board argument free. I am not a moderator here but I just want the best for the board.

NYGEORGESTRAIT - I think that if you have nothing nice to say, don't say it. I have no area of importance on this board, but that's how I feel on all of these situations. People have opinions. If Nancy is a role model to certain people, then let it be. I feel you not only insulted Nancy, but certain members of the board..including me. And that is not right. All in all, and this is in a POLITE manner, I think you should just keep your mouth shut.
