Question Cheers' Significance

I was just thinking... how big of a part does Cheers take up in your life? I mean compared to other things you like. Is Cheers your number one hobby and are you really devoted, or do you just enjoy watching the show... but you're not exactly obsessed.

For me, I think I'm somewhere in the middle. If you would have asked me two months ago I would have said that Cheers is basically my life... but now I'm finding more interests. I still love Cheers, and I guess I consider myself obsessed, but not as much as I used to be. But I'll always be a devoted Cheers fan

What do you guys think?

Its not the biggest part of my life.
But it is and will always be my favorite show.

Obesessed.... yes.
Sickly.... I dont think so, and I hope not.

I don't think I've ever liked Cheers more than I do now.
My interest hasn't slowed down.
And with Season 2 coming.... it seems like it never will.

Although my New Year's Resolution is to watch less TV.
Go from 3-4 hours. Down to 1 or 2.
But I can guarantee, I always be watching Cheers.

A hobby.... Ive never thought of it like that.
Whenever I fill out those form things in school, its asks what types of hobbies I participate in, and I would never know what to put.

I never considered any type of sport a hobby.
But Cheers.... Ive found a hobby. (well that and collecting DVDs)

Cheers used to be my whole life, but it has slowed down! I've been getting busier and I have less time to see it. I still love it!

I'm not totally obsessed but I'm somewhere in there!

I love the show, but I'm far from obsessed with it.

Cheers significance.....hmm let's see, it's a show I love to watch. In my opinion it's the best tv show that there has ever been, and it's great to watch when you're feeling down. Obsessed? I hope not...Definition of Obsess:

Obsess: To haunt; fill the mind completely; to preoccupy. n. complete domination of the mind by one idea; a fixed idea.

I like it a lot, I don't really watch much tv besides it. I watch a lot of movies, cheers, maybe Conan, and once in a while Curb your enthusiasm...but that's about it.

Then in that case, I wouldnt call myself obsessed with Cheers, or anything else in my life.

well with that definition of obsessed, no i'm not obsessed. it used to be like a HUGE part of my life but since school started i haven't had time to be on here as much and sometimes i can't even watch however i still sometimes find my thoughts wandering to it in the middle of class and my fanfiction i'm still working on (over 50 pages and not even half way done!) i do watch other shows and i like them a lot but nothing will ever compare to cheers i mean it's just the best show EVER! lol i'll never stop loving it.

I love it, but I'm not obsessed. Also, I don't have cable in my dorm so it can't take up too much of my time. (Well, I guess I could watch the DVD all the time, but I don't.)

I wouldnt call it addicted either.
I mean.... I could live without Cheers. I wouldnt want to, but I could.

Any when your addicted to something you depend on it, like food and water.

That's not true tim,

Addiction can mean drugs, or ciggarettes...Now ofcourse you can "live" w/out the substances (which don't need to be in ur system in the first place), however, you are forgetting *withdrawel*. Which is when you quit the substances that the body is addicted to...and it can be anything from night sweats to convulsions (which can lead to Death).

Food and Water are necessities...not addictions. You can go without food and water and not suffer from withdrawel... you'll eventually die. But you're not addicted to it.
