Default Theme Song Question

I'm watching "Family Ties" on TV Land. I saw the opening theme song and that song was sung by Johnny Mathis & Denise Williams. The duo had their only hit was called "Too Much, Too Little, Too Late" in 1978. I'm a huge Johnny Mathis fan and I have a lot of albums by Johnny from the 50's, 60's and 70's. The theme song "Without Us" was not included on any Johnny Mathis album.

I don't think the theme song for FT would be on any of your albums(since you said 60s&70s). They did the song in 1982. It is a real song, but I have no idea what album it's on. It might be on one of Deniece's records. I know for sure that it's on the "Television's Greatest Hits" series. Check those out. Also, if you go on the FT homepage, all versions of it are under theme songs/video clips category.

Thanks! The theme song was never released off of Johnny Mathis album. It was from the number of "TV's Greatest Hits" albums. By the way, Johnny Mathis and Denise Williams first sang together before they sang the "Family Ties" theme four years later was "Too Much, Too Little, Too Late" in 1978. I have that song on both the CD and a record.

There is also the "B" side of the 45 called "Emotion". A song was originally done by Samantha Sang along with the Bee-Gees. Johnny and Denise sang that on the other side. I dug through my record collection is the cover of the Johnny Mathis album that I have. Here's a pic. I have the entire Johnny Mathis collection on record.

There is also a picture of the label was used for the Johnny Mathis' self-titled debut album from 1955. Here is the list of songs from that first album. I don't have the self-titled album, I can get it sometime.

Geez, I found this picture of the album that I didn't have, It's called "That's What Friends Are For" by Johnny Mathis & Denise Williams.

I have a long version of the song "Without Us". I'm not sure where I got it, probably from Napster or someplace.

Are you sure it was Johnny Mathis? That's wild.

Was there more than one version?
