No way, I loved Gloria and thought she was funny. Honestly, I don't think this show ever jumped- it was pretty consistent and didn't have any major unwanted changes in the script, characters ect.

Yup I agree! That is when it jumped the shark. It ruined the whole dynamic. I couldn't watch the show anymore. She was not needed. There was no reason for her to be there. No offense to Valerie Bertinelli.

I agree.I loved the show from start to finish,even though like all shows,there were episodes I did'nt care for,but,I still loved the show!

Maybe the episode with the teenage singer who got throat cancer.

- They could've used a 60+ male singer for the storyline, as that fits in more with the demographic of throat cancer
- If they really wanted to use the girl (who was an actual singer with a hit song at the time), they could've found another reason as to why she couldn't sing anymore.

The singer who was in the Song For My Father episode was Krystal Harris who is known for the song Supergirl from The Princess Diaries.
