Default It's Time for Sanford and Son and Happy Days to leave TV LAND. Enough is Enough

These two shows are STALE now and it's time for some fresh classics. Happy Days has been on TV Land since the summer of 2002 and it feels like Sanford and Son has been on just as long because it's played 5 times a Day. It's time for something else to replace these two shows. I think Two good replacements would be

Maude and Laverne and Shirley. TV LAND IT"S TIME FOR A CHANGE!!!!!

Every episode of AG has to have been on TV at least 500 times now.

Happy Days is only on once a day -- at 8:00am. And I think TV Land started airing it in January 2002, not the summer. There are lots of shows coming to TV Land in January, so Sanford & Son won't be airing 4-5 times per day.

Anyway, Andy Griffith and Sanford & Son are two of TV Land's highest rated shows. No chance of them leaving anytime soon.

It would be nice to see Alice. Maude and Laverne & Shirley have already aired on TV Land. It would be nice to see a return though. I personally would like to see One Day at a Time and What's Happening!! on TV Land.

What's Happening could probably be in the TV LAND Kitschen like Welcome Back Kotter since it only lasted 3 years.

Pav is it really true that Maude has not done well in syndication?

I don't understand why Kotter is in the Kitschen anyway. It had close to 100 episodes, while shows like Gidget have under 35 and aired on the regular lineup--Twice as Nice even!

Do you mean regular local syndication for Maude in the 70's? If so, I'm not sure. It's only airing on one or two locals right now, if I'm not mistaken.

Andy Griffith high-rated? OK... I was afraid of that. I just can't get into black and white shows.

I meant how did Maude do on TV LAND. Did it receive good ratings?

I am not sure, it did air for a while at 11 p.m. or so. Maybe later on it did not do well, then it was reduced to a morning slot or late night only I think.

I am soooooooo sick of Andy Griffith, Leave It To Beaver, Happy Days, Gilligan's Island, and The Brady Bunch. God, would they give these shows a rest for a year or so and bring on something we haven't seen in forever like Alice, What's Happening, One Day At A Time, The Addams Family, and WKRP (daily, not twice a week). That would be so nice for a change, but I'm not holding my breath. What really ticks me off is LITB is now back on twice in the afternoon, while Mr. Ed, which hasen't even been on 3 months yet is only on at 9:30am and 3:00am EST. Stupid !!!!!

The problem with TV Land is they show some of their shows too many times in a day and you get sick of them. I think each show should only air once a day. That way there would be more room for more shows.
