Default Something I found out about the Mork Character in the 1980-81 season in a 1980 TV

Guide. I never knew that the Mork character stopped drinking with his fingers, got a short haircut, a 9 to 5 job and a new suit. I never knew all these changes took place. So how was Mork after he received a new look?

I think this was in the episode "Putting the Ork in Mork" from season 3. He became too much like a human and Orson sent him some elder (which looked like a kid) to help him. I don't know what happened b/c I haven't watched all of the episode yet.

It sounds strange that they would change the mork character like that because if the show gained fans by hom being from outerspace then why make him normal? That's like putting a suit on Fonzie after he was wearing the leather jacket for so many seasons

By that point, it was pretty much over. The show took a left turn in season two and never regained its stride. Mork's antics were pretty standard and tame by season three.

I watch the show nightly, they are on the first season, so as it continues Solomon, I will let you know. It has been years since I seen the show but I do remember feeling it wasn't the same. Like I said, I watch it on my local channel and I will let you know how it feels NOW as I watch it.

Any ideas as to why this was run as just a few days long time filler marathon over the holidays?

I'm 41 and grew up smack dab in the middle of the mork & mindy craze. I've told my kids about how much fun it was, but unless you see it, words can't dexcribe that show.

Needless to say, by the third episode, my 21 year old son was hooked on Mork & Mindy like a junke! lol

I would like to see this and some other older, fun shows put on the cable networks instead of those endless infomercials that are on every other channel.

Oops, this is turning into an uninted rant... I better hush up now.
