Red face One thing that Cheers lacked...

In my opinion, the one thing this great show lacked was a classic Christmas episode like they had for Thanksgiving.

They did have a Christmas episode! The one where Sam gives Rebecca diamonds by accident from a girl he met on the street. I'm not exactly sure what it's called but that is what happens.

oh! Brian i found it. it's called Christmas cheers and here's the description from the original cheers site

Sam is upset when he finds out that Carla and Woody have gotten Rebecca Christmas gifts, and he hasn't. So he goes out on Christmas Eve to get a gift that will hopefully cheer Rebecca.

Norm gets a job as a Santa Claus at a local department store, and he and his fellow Kris Kringle's come to Cheers to celebrate a job well done. Cliff works to get food donations for the needy so he can win a trip to Disneyworld.

yea episode 133, Christmas Cheers. I like that episode alot. Woody and the stuardist have a great part. Her name has escaped me though.

Stuardist:.....and stuffing the turkey.
Woody: Stuffing?
Stuardist: Yeah, my mom makes it from scratch
Woody: So does my mom
Stuardist: Yeah but does your mom make it bone dry?
Woody: You could gag on it!

Norm: The whining, the complaing, the temper tantrums. OK so I wasnt your typical Santa Clause.

"Christmas Cheers" was one of my favorite episodes ever.

Yeah, me neither. I think you're right. There really was never a CLASSIC holiday episode. Did they ever do a Christmas episode with Diane in it? I don't think they did. That would have been great!

yes they did,

Only it was in May...haha

and that episode is actually coming up. I believe it's called "A house is not a home" where Diane puts on a christmas party for the family Sam and Her bought the house from.

Oh, right! If you can call a Christmas episode shown in May a "holiday" episode, than that was definitely the best! Other than "Thanksgiving Orphans," that is.

I like the part with Norm and Woody talking.

Norm: Afternoon, everybody.
Everybody: NORM!!
Woody: Santa, what can I get you?
Norm: Finally! Someone who wants to get me something!

It would've been great to see Norm as a beer drinking Santa.

I didn't like the Christmas episode with Rebecca. The one in May was very funny though.

"We can be here at all occasions. Next up is Easter!"
"Yay!!!!!!"
"NOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Ah, great episode.
