I was suprised to see the case of Donna Callahan on Court TV's "Body of Evidence" last night. She was on one of the earlier UM stories where they profiled her as well as two other women who had all disappeared while working the graveyard shift at convenience stores all fairly close in location (the other women's names were Debra Poe and Debra Messer). I was also suprised to learn that 7 years after her disappearance a man (I believe his name was Alex Wells) confessed to killing her after they robbed the store. (The show didn't mention the other two missing clerks). He also led them to where he buried the body in order to not get the death penalty. So I guess another UM case has been solved.

Oh, that reminds me of a case I saw on a show on A&E which was also aired on UM.
It was about a brunette-haired little girl who had been abducted from her home. There was a little window, which was on the ground floor, on the side of the house which the abductor seemed to have entered through and officials questioned the mother and father. They also made them take lie detector tests. I think they had spent a few days in jail and were released after they were declared innocent regarding their daughter's abduction. The little girl was found dead in the woods with a white sheet covering her corpse. I think the cause of death was strangulation. Aside from Lifetime with UM updating cases, we also have those two networks (Court TV and A&E) which have shows to keep us informed because they seem to be consistent as far as updates. |

SATW, do you mean the Jaclyn Dowaliby case? Her stepfather spent a year and a half in jail for that before being cleared of any wrongdoing.

Right. I had forgotten how much time he had spent in jail, that's why I included, "I think". The show on A&E showed photos of the crime scene and had more information about the case. |
