Guys,
I am referring to the current Richard Karn version, but subsequent versions should also take this into consideration: "Should they just play two double-point rounds instead of tripling the point values for the final one-strike only questions?" The point value for the third round question is too high. It is not fair for a family to have several points in rounds 1 and 2 and an opposing family to have zero (a lot of times this happens) and win on one question. This is one of the shows biggest drawbacks, because there is often little strategy or thought to the third-round question. At least by playing two rounds of double-point value questions, instead of single, double, triple, I think we would more often see the more intelligent family winning and going for the fast money.
