Did anyone see the movie "You Can't Fool Your Wife" from 1940? It started out slow but it was good, especially in the climax where she's in the duel role as the frumpy wife posing as an exotic spanish woman and the real spanish woman and all the mistaken identity mnishaps which followed. There is another Lucy movie from 1938 that will be on TCM next Tuesday morning.

I like "You Can't Fool Your Wife."
Lucy looked very sweet, she was great in the duel roles, and of course I always love a good happy ending.

I thought "You Can't Fool Your Wife" was alright. Lucy and James Ellison worked well together, although I prefered them in "The Next Time I Marry."

I watched it for the first time on Tuesday, too. She did an excellent job, but I can't say I liked the ending too much. I was kinda confused over whether he really did know that it was her the whole time, or whether he was just saying that to make up with her.

It was ok, but typical of those B pictures she did back then, it was funny seing or rather hearing her doing an accent though!

She was very cute dressed up and doing that Spanish accent. Although the film's negative or lighting was kinda dark.
