It fell apart very quickly. Like, what was the point? That Frasier is completely out of control of his own life? We know that! The best part was during the closing titles, when the Gen-X Seebee winner somehow walked off with both an award and the two lovely presenters (why does that remind me of an Elvis Costello song somehow?
).

You hear that sort of thing in a lot of places. That's not my milieu. Rock and roll is good-time music. I love rock. So did my parents. |

I had almost the opposite reaction. I thought the first part was slow and drawn out, with very few really funny lines, while the last part of the episode was much better (once they got to the Seabees) and the ending song was a complete hoot!!! Loved the lyrics, the facial expressions when Kelsey G. sang it, the distractions going on around the room, Martin's casual remark about stepping on "something" and the way DHP said "That's an olive." Everything about the awards gala was funny to me. I was disappointed that throughout much of the episode I kept expecting some battanage between Frasier and Niles and it never came (Frasier just kept on getting pettier and bitchier). There was a small bit of "bon mots" between the two of them at the awards ceremony but there should have been more for my taste. The tag scene was very funny. :-))
