Is $50 for all 24 episodes, shipping and handling included, a good deal?

I've cut and pasted in a comment/remark by me and AGENT13 about the cost of dvdr's. Are you talking about vhs or dvds? I have learned to be VERY careful about buying and trading because I've invested some money into copies of shows that the quality is so back I can't even watch them. I'm fairly new to trading but I have purchased many sets off Ebay and Yahoo auctions in the past and I personally will no longer purchase or trade for vhs. If you are considering purchasing vhs copies, you may want to find out what generation your copies will be made from (original copy off tv or a copy received from another trader) because the quality will degenerate with each additional generation. I would also want to know what speed they were recorded in and what they will be giving you. If they were recorded in slp and copied in slp - as far as my experience has been - the quality is so poor that you will be sorely disappointed. Bottom line is how much is obtaining this series worth to you and how much are you willing to pay to get it? For $50.00 - and 24 episodes - media rate shipping will be $5.00 or less - which means you are paying about $1.87 per episode. Good luck!! If you do purchase them...let me know how they turn out 'cause I'ld like to have this show, too!!

"If there are approximately ten episodes on each DVD-R, then these shows are taped in ep (slp). Personally, I think these should sell for around the same amount as the equivalent in a video - no more than $10 per DVD. (I use Princo, which run around $.65 each.) Of course, if the seller is using top of the line DVD-Rs, then that'd be a different story.

Of course I'd never spend that kind of money myself. I think $5-7.50 each would be more fair if a seller is truly only charging wear/tear on their machines as they're supposed to. "
