Hi all!
Follow this link for a write-up and picture of Lisa's new book, "The Facts of Life and Other Lessons My Father Taught Me", due in October 2001, from Multnomah Publishers. http://www.multnomahbooks.com/BookDe...sp?BookID=1301 hrh |

I didn't know that she was writing another book! Her book, Creative Corrections was excellent, so maybe I'll get some enjoyment out of this one. I kind of think that Lisa is a better writer then actor. Don't ask me why, but her writing is amazing.

Re: Lisa's writing skills
I've seen Lisa call herself a bibliophile (book lover) in more than one interview. This claim can be backed up just by watching her acting work. You may have noticed in FOL (especially the later episodes) that Blair is often reading, i.e. the end of "The Interview Show" when Mrs. G. invites them out for midweek dinner, or the end of "Gone With the Wind" when the girls are on the plane home or "Take My Finals" when she's supposed to be studying and she reads the girls a passage from a romantic novel. I also found it amusing this weekend when I finally saw "The Double McGuffin", which was Lisa's film debut, that in her first ever scene, she's sitting on a rock in the woods reading! All of the above is just to make the point that often avid readers make pretty good writers. I, too, like Lisa's writing style and am looking forward to the new book. hrh |
