Arrow Battle of the Beckys

I'm sure this has been discussed ad nauseum, but I want to discuss it with the current posters.

I know I'm probably in the minority here, but I enjoy Sarah Chalke's performance better. Perhaps it's because by the time she took over the role, Becky was married and calmer.

Lecy Goranson did a fantastic job, but I think she overacted sometimes, and could be over the top nasty to her parents. Her appearance and those haircuts didn't appeal to me either.

Sarah Chalke was very pretty, which isn't reason to like her better, but it's human nature to enjoy watching attractive actors perform.
I think if Sarah Chalke had originated the role of Becky and was given a chance to prove herself, she would have a large fan base. She was talented and beautiful, and I liked the softness she brought to the role.
She suffered from Darrin #2 syndrome. She never stood a chance.

I have to agree. I liked Sarah Chalke better. Lecy seemed "bitchy" to me.

Heck, she looked "bitchy". Everytime I saw her I thought about that...

Sarah Chalke was very pretty BTW.

I like Sarah Chalke a bit better, but in her first episodes it seemed as if she couldn't act. Her and Mark looked like more of a couple, also.

I think as soon as some people saw Sarah they hated her. She is a great actress you will find out if you watch Scrubs.
Lecy was a good but I think she was better as the younger Becky (not married).

I liked Sarah but I loved Lecy! It's ashame for Sarah though because she started out good with storylines then in the beginning of season 7 is when she started to fade away. I think Lecy was more of the best Becky in my opinion, who cares if she was bitchy thats what it was meant for her character to be like. I think she was great at being bitchy too and I loved her quote: MOTHER! I think maybe they should've dropped the Becky character until Lecy came back but I also think they should've created another character and Sarah could've played that character because she was seriously a whole new Becky when she came on. LOL Mark and David's sister?

I totally agree. It would have been funny if she were written as Mark and David's sister. lol

If i had to choose my favourite Becky, I would have to say Lecy, but I did like Sarah, I think someone said it already but Lecy pulled off the rebellious teenager and Sarah was the more settled, married Becky. Although when Sarah was playing Becky, her and Sara Gilbert did lack chemistry which was a shame, they just didn't make very good arguing siblings.

Lecy, no doubt. I thought Sarah was so pretty though. She was ok, but Lecy fits the character better.

You have to feel a bit sorry for Sara, at least in the beginning. I read an interview with her once in which she said that it was overwhealming. She was 16, this was her first major gig outside of Canada, and she she coming onto a top 5 show that had been on for five seasons. It must have been really overwhealming.

I like Lecy better as Becky personally, but I love Sarah Chalke in Scrubs. Roseanne was a big learning experience for her, I think.

Who would have thought that six years after the show ended Sarah would be the only one out of the entire cast with steady work on tv?
