Thumbs down Major editing...

those of you that are watching the pilot... did you notice after Joey reached down and found that Michelle needed her diaper changed, that ABC Family cut out that whole scene of them going down the stairs, into the kitchen to change her and all of it. I remember it because it was in the retro last night on N@N. That was a big-time edit.

That's the first big edit I have seen from ABC Family... I had heard they cut a lot, but I have been watching Family Matters since October and have never seen any big cuts.

Yeah I noticed that too, but ABC Family also adds a lot of sences that other networks do not show. Also they played the whole theme song. That was very cool I have never seen that done on TV for Full House before.

Your right... they like to use all versions of the theme song and your right, I have seen some lines and scenes I have never seen before. I just thought editing that whole scene was stupid.

I didn't see the pilot since I was working at Gateway that afternoon. I have the scene uncut on TBS showing especially Nick at Nite. ABC Family did cut the scene when they changed Michelle's diaper. That was one of my favorite moments in the first episode. They had the full theme song, oh my goodness, this was used before the syndicated opening added the words "You'll miss you old familiar friends are waiting just around the bend." ABC Family didn't do that either except Nick at Nite.

I'm watching the episode called "Our Very First Show". The diaper changing scene was not edit on Nick at Nite except the same scene was on WPIX's "Full Day of Full House Marathon" last year (for those of you are not in New York). Here are two things that ever happened in the pilot.

1. ABC Family cuts the diaper scene to shortened the scene including the long ABC opening.

2. Nick at Nite does not cut the diaper scene and did have the syndicated opening, but not ABC Family.

The diaper changing scene was the best part ever and that part reminds me of a song "Baby Got Back" by Sir Mix-A-Lot. I like it the best.

I think everyone who has seen this episode knows all that. Why rehash old stuff?

Default "Stephanie's Wild Ride"

Has anybody noticed that in the ABCFamily version the little scene with Michelle and the Twins is there in the very beginning and in the Nick at Nite version that scene is cut and it just goes right to when Uncle Jesse walks in!

I say if ABC Family wanted to edit the entire diaper scene, they would have to plan it out more carefully. They shouldn't have shown when they were checking Michelle's diaper. It seems more incomplete than if they would have left that there. The edit timing was so wrong.

I've never seen the diaper scene, but I read a script of the pilot and it included the diaper scene. You can see the script by going here.http://fly.to/full house

Actually, Nick-At-Nite did do some editing on two episodes. The Pilot and the one with the episode where they're doing the flashbacks before the twins were born.

1. Pilot (Nick-At-Nite): They do have the diaper changing scene, except they delete
the part after they change Michelle and before Stephanie tells tem about the diapers. Here's the dialouge that I remember:

Jesse: Hey you just spill some juice on the counter.
Joey: Just wipe it up with baby-tidewhitey

2. Happy Birthday Babies(1) (ABC Family, Nick-At-Nite). They complete take out the ending where Becky feels pain in her stomach. Here is the dialouge:

Becky: Oof.
Jesse: You up for contraction?
Becky: No I couldn't be. I'm not due for another three weeks.
Jesse: You know, I've been feeling the same way too. You have to stop eating Joey's Coca-Puff omelets.
Becky: Yeah. Probably just some pain and indegistion.
He leaves.
Becky checking her watch then holding her stomach: That are coming every nineteen minutes. You litte ones trying to tell me something?

Those are scenes that I noticed were missing.

I also noticed "give or take" editing for "Fogged Inn" between Nick-at-Nite and ABC Family. If you record this episode twice on both channels, you'll get stuff that's missing from each one.

* Nick-at-Nite:
Has no teaser, no extended theme song, has no extended Kimmy eating potato chips in the girls' room, and it has the scene where Kimmy is snoring and the girls put her in Michelle's room.

* ABC Family:
Has the teaser where Joey is doing comedic impressions to Michelle, has the extended theme song, has the Kimmy potato chip scene, and skips the Kimmy snoring scene.

Just like the ABC Family/Nick-at-Nite episode for "Our Very First Show," recording both versions you get two different edits.

Just some FYI.
