Oh God, I can just see more fights at the GSN board, but I must admit I don't know if I should be excited or scared.

I want "The Price Is Right" back to GSN later this month as part of the revamp schedule for 2004. I haven't seen it in years. Will find out!

Is GSN are bringing back "Password" and "Password Plus" for the new revamp schedule including "Supermarket Sweep" are suppose to be adding to our lists of shows? I haven't seen these two about a year ago. Because, both of them are my all-time favorite game shows ever.

No one knows what the nature of this "schedule revamp" will be. Rumors keep buzzing that GSN might change their name in the first quarter to reflect their "Brand expansion" which I guess means that they might plan to not air just game shows, but shows that are related to all sorts of different types of games. I hope that something like that does NOT go through.

Let other stations show non-gs crap. They have been anyway.

I agree. I didn't wait 7 years for GSN only to have video game crap, dating shows, black jack tournaments (something they supposedly have planned later in 2004), and all that other crap. I waited 7 years to see my favorite classic GAME SHOWS while growing up, like Bullseye, classic TPIR, The Joker's Wild, Tic Tac Dough, and others. I had hopes that they'd eventually pick up the Reg Grundy library so we could finally see Scrabble, Sale of the Century, and Wipeout after so long. Whatever this announcement is, it had better be good.

Blackjack tournaments? Ugh...

Anyway, the optimist in me says it will be more classics (Scrabble, The Price is Right, Name that Tune, etc.), but with all the talk about them wanting to "cater to a more modern audience," I just don't know...

* keeps his hopes up for a Gameshow Classics Channel *

Well, I think that "big news" is finally out, and it's not what everyone was speculating. TVgameshows.net has reported that the original chief of programming Bob Boden is leaving GSN. I don't have much inside info on this whole thing and I have no clue how this affects the schedule, but I really am disappointed yet shocked at the same time.

I hope that The Game Show Networks adds The Jokers Wild and Tic Tac Toe and Super Password to it's Revamp 2004 Schedule.

Bob Boden has been on GSN for almost 10 years. Here is an article from tvgameshows.net:

Boden Leaves GSN

Bob Boden, the orignial programming chief of Game Show Network when GSN launched in December 1994 and senior vice president of programming since August 2001, has left the network.

A GSN spokesperson said Monday afternoon Boden "Has left the company to pursue other business opportunities." Boden was not available for comment. However, some indsiders say he is expected to form his own production company. Kevin Belinkoff, an assistant to Boden and a former senior producer of "Family Feud", will serve s interim chief of GSN programming while a search is underway for a permanent successor. Belinkoff could become a candidate for the job.

Boden rejoined the network more than two years ago from his post as senior vice president for production and development of #### Clark Productions. He created "Greed" and developed "Challenge of the Child Geniuses" for Fox.

Since retutrning to GSN, Boden has overseen the most ambitious slate of original programming in the nine years of the network's history. The company's biggest hit has been "Lingo", which is in its third cycle of first-run episodes. Under Boden's watch, GSN's first documentry, "Big Bucks: The 'Press Your Luck' Scandal" garnered the highest ratings of any program ever on the network.

At GSN's outset in 1994, Boden developed the "Prime Games" and "Club AM" concepts, which featured on-camera hosts and playbreaks between classic Goodson-Todman and Barry and Enright games.

Boden's recent interview with Bob Barker, who turns 80 this week, is appearing in excerpts during the morning marathon Barker birthday celebration through Friday.
