Any updates on the Interstate 170 serial murders? - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

I only knew about this case when Unsolved Mysteries first aired a segment on it a couple of weeks ago. I assumed this serial murder case has been given low media coverage as I have never heard of it before.

All the random shooting murders happened off Interstate 170. I think living in America can be pretty dangerous. I mean you mind your own buisness, just minding your store and you get shot dead by an intruder who walks in, just for kicks.

Are any of you people shop owners? Are you concerned about this type of incident happening to you?

I was surprised when the Interstate 170 killer didn't kill that black customer that walked into the bridal gown shop right after the killer had already shot dead the two women working in the shop in the back room. I was surprised he let him go as an eyewitness
with threats that he shouldn't call the cops.

I have seen that segment on the interstate 170 murders. We all think that during our day to day lives, that we are safe from any psychopathic killers, but unfortunately, we can be so vulnerable to them.

I do think that it was odd that the killer let the black man go unharmed, or alive for that matter after killing the two girls. Did the killer actually think that the man wouldn't call the police? That case is a huge mystery.

I think the guy was so focused on killing women that in his warped mind he didn't want to kill the man. Think Son of Sam.

Even though the photo of the male victim showed him with short hair apparently he had long hair and occassionally wore earrings at the time of his death. He may have been confused for a woman.

One of the Interstate's murder victim was a man.

The black customer that walked into that bridal gown shop was ordered by the Interstate 170 killer to come with him into the back room. The black customer absolutely refused and said he didn't see anything and why not just let him go.

I figured the Interstate 170 killer must have figured that shooting him in the front of the store (where people outside can see the inside of the shop through the shop glass windows) would make too much noise and alert passerbys and the police. So I figured he had to let this eyewitness go.

It was the Interstate 170 killer who tried to make the black customer march into the back room with him so that he can shoot him dead as well, with the minimal amount of gunfire noise created.

I forgot that the killer asked the black man to go to the back room. That's a very good possibility that the killer didn't want to make any noise by shooting the man. Did anyone here the gun shots from when the other workers were shot, like the people from the pizza place and the video store?

OK, I think you're right about how the killer didn't want to shoot the witness in the front of the store. But I still think that he primarily targeted women as victims, and has a hatred for them.

The video store shooting was heard by a clerk in the store next door, as show in the UM segment. There were also several people who saw the killer before and after the shooting, since it wasn't dark yet (only 6:30 PM).

I do now remember that a worker next to the video store did hear the gun shot and went next door to investigate and found the woman laying dead on the floor. I need to re-watch that segment as I haven't seen it in a long time, I have it on tape.
