Is there any possibility for a repackaging of "I Love Lucy - Season 1"??
I dont want to buy this set for $80.00 (gulp), and then have a repackaging announced. I know the season could be fit on 3 discs easily (with double sided discs) But maybe a 5-Disc set is possible. Does anyone have any info?? Any help would be appreciated!! |

Same here. I don't want to buy a few and then find out they are in a big whole season set.

Paramount is just re-releasing the Columbia House discs in retail versions after they've been released, that's the reason for the switches so no they won't be available in another format.
When Columbia House started they were doing 4 episodes to a disc and then midway through they switched to six per disc, that's why Season 1 is so spread out. For season 2 Columbia house is doing five discs with six episodes a piece, then Paramount is putting those into a set. It's worse for those of us who bought the original Columbia House discs. They started by releasing the volume containing Lucy Does a TV Commercial and the three episodes surrounding it first, THEN going back to the beginning and they were using the big normal dvd cases. So you've got Volumes 1-4 in the normal "keep cases", volumes 5&6 in the thinpak cases they're using now, then volume 7 (the first one they released) fits in the middle in a big case, and then it's back to the thinpaks again. It looks really akward. |

I would hope they wouldn't come out with a repackage, especially when they already came out with the set. But hey, it would really be basically the same thing viewing wise.
