In the spirit of the season, what is your favorite Thanksgiving episode? Mine would have to be the "Wild Turkey" episode of Perfect Strangers, in which the cousins lose a turkey which may have gobbled up Jennifer's wedding ring, and they interrupt the Johnsons' Thanksgiving next door, calling themselves a full-service Thanksgiving operation.

There are four favorites for me.
Happy Days #128 (The First Thanksgiving) Marion tells the story about the meaning of Thanksgiving, where the gang is transported to 1621 in Plymouth Rock. I enjoy Fonzie's "greeteth-amundo" attitude, and mentioning Inspiration Rock. Wolfstalker and Bearslayer (Ralph and Potsie) were funny as well. Bewitched #123 (Samantha's Thanksgiving To Remember.) Here, Aunt Clara unintentionally sends the Stephens, and Gladys, to the 1600's, and the Pilgrims suspect a witch--Darrin. Of course, our REAL witch, helps him get acquitted. Family Ties #9 (No Nukes Is Good Nukes) In typical 60's style, Steven and Elyse go to a demonstration against nuclear arms, and they end up in jail on Thanksgiving. The kids and the grandparents all realize the importance of Steve and Elyse's stands on the issue, and they have the dinner in the cell. (Dick Sargent of 'Bewitched' plays the grandfather. WKRP IN Cincinnati #8- Turkeys Away In this, perhaps, my top THanksgiving episode, Arthur Carlson promotes a wild Thanksgiving extravaganza. He and Herb throw live turkeys out of a helicopter, all through the reports of Les. The ending states: "As God is my witness, I thought turkeys could fly." VERY funny. Happy Thanksgiving. Anyway, enjoy your turkeys today, and may we give thanks for our blessings, including all our tapes, and our huge blessings like our houses, families, etc. In God's name, amen. |

I'm not putting these in order....
Friends-"TOW Underdog Gets Away" An underdog balloon, VD and a loss of keys ruin everyone's Thanksgiving. Mad About You-"Thanksgiving Show" Paul, Jamie, Ira, Lisa, Maggie, Sylvia, Marvin, Dr. Lee Ursula and Fred Willard play running chardes. Mad About You-"Giblets For Murray" Paul and Jamie drop a turkey out the window. The OC-"The Homecoming" In classic "Brandy Bunch"-esque fashion, Seth dates both Summer and Anna at the same time and, of course, it all blows up in his face at the end. |

Mine is the "Seinfeld" Thanskgiving episode from the 1994-95 season where George buys a Chrysler LeBaron convertible because he thinks it belonged to Jon Voight, the actor, as opposed to John Voight, the periodontist! Kramer puts a mom and pop shoe repair store out of business by, while lying on a couch to stop a nosebleed, noticing a faulty wire sticking out of the ceiling that Mom and Pop (who never had any kids) can't afford to fix As a result, Jerry's sneakers disappear. Elaine wins a place under the Woody Woodpecker balloon for her boss Mr. Pitt, but Jerry inadvertantly pops it when leaning back against a window and knocking a spiked trophy onto the Woody Woodpecker balloon being inflated the night before the Thanksgiving Day parade. Mom and Pop resurface in Parsippany, New Jersey, where they sell Jerry's sneakers by saying that they belonged to Jerry Seinfeld, the comedian.
Jerry and Kramer go to New Jeresy on the bus, where Kramer has another nosebleed. The last secne is a parody of the final scene of Midnight Cowboy. Jerry: "You need to go to the hospital." Kramer: "I ain't goin' to no Bellevue. Look at me - I'm comin' apart!" Hey, I'm walkin' heah!
