Who was your favorite governess on the series?
The Choices - Victoria Winters - Maggie Evans - Rachel Drummond - Daphne Harridge My favorite is Victoria Winters. She was a very strong character in the beginning of the series who didn't let people walk over her. She actually was seen teaching David. Unfortunately, they did dumb her down after she came back from 1795. Maggie Evans was dumbed down even more than Vicki when she became the governess of David and Amy. She seemed to turn into the perpetual victim of the show. Hated Rachel. She was such a nitwit, IMO. "Oh, look! There's a light! Let's go inside there to see what's going on!" Curiosity kills the cat. -.- I like Daphne. She's an interesting character. She reminds me of Vicki. |

Vicki gets my vote as best governess. She had real qualifications for the job. Maggie was a former diner waitress! BTW Sean, Vicki went to 1795 and came back, not 1897. She was gone from DS when they started 1897 storyline.

Now that I think about it, I think I like Maggie better. I'm watching episodes 300 - 340 and she's on too much, IMO. Blah.

I think Kathryn Leigh Scott is positively sexy and talented but so is Alexandra Moltke. Vicki seemed better suited at being governess.

I think Victoria Winters was the best also, probably because she was the first
one. |
