Fun name game
Say actor James Garner would decide to stick with ABC/8 SIMPLE RULES and there is no network or production argument. Let us also assume in this scenario that his character could become even more fleshed & prominent than ever. Wouldn't it be interesting to title further episodes of the program as 8 SIMPLE RULES ACCORDING TO JIM? Maybe a little too confusing on Tuesday nights? Nah.
