Overnights:

Navy NCIS (#1: 9.3/14) was #1 in the overnights for the 8pm hour. But 8 Simple Rules was a close second in the 8pm half hour with a 8.2/12 behind the first half of CBS's Navy NCIS (8.8/13) . Among adults 18-49, look for the comedy to lead the half-hour with a 4.2/13 -- eight percent above the first half of Fox's American Idol Christmas in the demo (3.9/12). Speaking as a fan of 8 Simple Rules, a perfectly mixed balance of tears and laughter in the turkey-carving scene proves that this is a series worth continuing.

CBS was #1 with their dramas for the night with a 8.2/13, ABC was second with a 6.9/11, NBC third with a 6.6/11, FOX 4th with a 6.4/10. UPN and The WB were way behind.

Among adults 18-49 ABC finished first with a 4.1/11 followed by NBC and Fox tied at a 4.0/11, CBS (2.7/ 8), the WB (1.6/ 4) and UPN (1.2/ 3).

That looks like great news for 8 Simple Rules. They are still getting strong ratings. I think 8 Simple Rules will prove a lot of people wrong by not only surviving, but by becoming a very successful series as well.

Yay! It's continuing to get great ratings! I just got done watching the episode, and it was amazing. Im very impressed in how the season is going.

I'm glad 8 simple rules is doing so well! i'm surprised that it's still this good without John...although it's really just not the same...
