I Dream of Jeannie on American Dreams - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

There were two scenes on American Dreams which showed Patty, the younger daughter watching I Dream of Jeannie. However, I think the writers got it wrong. I believe that American Dreams is thus far set in 1964. (Last year the first episode concerned the assination of President Kennedy which occurred in 1963). As most of you know, I Dream of Jeannie did not premiere until 1965.

The tv set showed the animated opening where Tony opens his space capsile, knocks the bottle over and loosens the cap to free Jeannie. I think that opening occurred in the third season. The theme music was from seasons 2-5. Not only that, it was being shown on a school night. I Dream of Jeannie was originally shown on Saturday nights during its first season.

Yea, you're right I'm pretty sure they got it wrong (though that was not my era, unfortunately, but based on what I know about IDOJ I think you're right...)

I saw it. I'm just glad that they mentioned IDOJ on AD since they mentioned Bewitched one time.
