Default Jesse

I think Johnny Depp would have made a awesome Jesse! He plays guitar, in early 90s had the same hair, is cool etc. Who do you think would have made a good Jesse?

Hey, I never even thought of that! Johnny Depp would have made a decent Uncle Jesse. Also he used to live here in Owensboro, KY. So, I may be a little biased. lol

I can't really think of anyone else besides Depp or Stamos though. Except maybe if the show was taped in the late 50's. Then I'd say the King himself (Elvis Presley) would have been a shoe-in. lol

The comedy and the situations on Full House are a little too G-rated for Johnny Depp.

Default Stamos

I've noticed something about Stamos over the years. He is the saving grace for pretty much anything he's in. The man's charm just leaps off the screen non-stop.

Take "Dreams" for instance. I recently got hold of every episode of this series and it is hands-down BAD. But Stamos' scenes were quite watchable. In the series, he pretty much plays an Uncle Jesse type character BEFORE Jesse got caught up with the Full House gang. He's a wild rocker and it suits him.

In "Thieves" he's very fun to watch. Again, I just got every aired episode of that series and it's a shame they cancelled it. If you all missed that one, it was actually a good show (thanks to Stamos).

And in "Full House", well you all know that story. For me, though, he was the only reason I watched at first. Then Joey kind of grew on me. Still, without Jesse and Joey I probably wouldn't have been as big a fan of the show. Probably wouldn't have watched it at all.

John Stamos deserves some recognition. I hear he has a new series coming soon and I hope it does well.

In Peace,
King Creole

I agree.

And I think Johnny Depp is too scary looking to be Uncle Jesse.

Interesting points. And no, I never saw Thieves. But I'm looking forward to this new show, whatever it is. I hope it gets picked up.

I personally enjoyed John Stamos on Full House because of his facial expressions and sarcastic-like jokes. He made his character feel more alive.
