Default Anyone else DISLIKE the first Two Season with the AROUND THE CLOCK Opening Credits?

I don't know why I can't get ino the firs two seasons. It just seemed the show made a turn for the better once they ended the around the clock opening credits and taped episodes in front of a live studio audience at the start of season 3.

I love everything about the first two seasons including Rock Around The Clock ( one of my favorite songs ). I also perferred HD without the live audience. The audience sometimes annoyed me with the clapping and yelling everytime Chachi made his entrance.

I totally agree. The first two seasons ruled, Potsie was Cool, Fonzie wasnt the Main Focus of the show (Nothing wrong with Fonzie, hes my favorite Character tied with Richie and Roger, but its cool to see the show more focused on other Characters from the show) Plus, the episodes were more 1950's-ish. One good thing about HD is that it had variety, First 2 Seasons were Very 50s like, seasons 3-7 were more Modern and more Comedy like, and the Last 4 seasons added more Cast Members.

I loved the first two seasons! There awesome! Like TF said, Fonzie wasn't the main focus (not that theres anything wrong with him).

the "Rock Around the Clock" opening made it much more 50's-like, and they were definately MY favorite eps....

they were trying to ride on the success of American Graffitti after all, so it made sense that they would start the show like that

The first couple arent my favorite seasons, but I dont hate them. Now the last couple when Joanie and Chachi became the focus, well now thats a different story.

The first 2 seasons to be more about the 50s than the later seasons.

It seems like without the audience.... the show seemed more focused on being like "the 50s" and THEN added the comedy.

And with the later seasons, some episodes made the 50s look like an afterthought.

The studio audience was a great addition.

I love the first two seasons (I mean it is Happy Days ), but I like some of the later seasons better. I liked the live audience better, for whatever reason, but I think the first years were more realistic and the characters were written better (it just wasn't as funny as some of the later stuff, JMHO). I like the second season better than the first, though.

I Like the first 2 seasons because of storylines, Which were probably at their best than.

However I Didnt like Rock Around The Clock as themesong, And I Really dont care if the show is 50ish....I Like the show for what it is and it could be about the 70s for all i car.

I like the song but I don't like the 1st season very much! The later ones are better! Is there a christmas ep from the later years? Fonz is my fave, then Joanie & Chachi (tied) then a 4-way tie between Richie, Potsie, Roger & Potsie, then Al, Howard & Marion.

Yes, the first 2 seasons are my favorite. Plus the 3rd (isn't this the season turned to "Live In Front of A Studio Audience"?)

Anyways, I like the season where Arnold was on. (ex. the season where Fonzie jumps over the trashcans, Fonzie teaches Richie how to defend himself, Laverne and Shirley double date with Fonzie & Richie, etc.)
