Question Jack's friend Felipe

I've always noticed that when Felipe would come over to the apartment, he would rub the bottom of his feet on the carpet before coming in. He looked like a chicken when they scrape their feet too. Why would he do that?! And what's the name he calls Jack?? It sounds like heffer or something like that and why does he call him that?? Either way, it's funny!!

I think he does that to get any dirt off the bottom of his shoes before he walks through their apt.
I think it is heffer, probably just a nickname.

I think the nickname he calls Jack is "Heffe" which is a spanish word for "Boss".

Yeah, it's heffe...and I think he wipes his feet out of respect because Jack's like..."higher" than him in the kitchen and he's kind of just doing that sarcastically or something.

I think he was supposed to be from Mexico b/c his cousin was from Mexico! But his Spanish is not very good! l l and the actors that were on the show on Monday, were not from Mexico either, their accent was from like Cuba or something! ...I like Felipe he is really funny! Jefe and Gringo is what he usually calls Jack, which means Boss, and Gringo refers to a White Person!

Jack was way too patient with Felipe. I wouldn't have put up with his crap for a second.

...I think it is a bit of a reach to say that Felipe was Jack's "Friend". He was a jealous coworker who gave Jack a lot of grief. Why Jack did favors for him I don't know, other than Jack was just a great guy.

Yes - He was sneaky, like the time he put the extra hot pepper in a food critic's dish hoping to get the guy mad at Jack. Fortunately for Jack, it turned out well. He would laugh when Jack got hurt or into trouble.

Come to think of it, he had a lot of nerve asking Jack for favors!
