Can we stop going around the censoring system? - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

This has become more and more of a problem with people going around the filtering system, by using vbcode or well placed *'s or apostophres. Let's stop this, if you are going to swear there's not much I can do to keep up with it and stop it.. just don't go around the censoring system and start inventing new profanity words.

I don't think you would be able to get away with all the swearing on a lot of boards. I want this place to be fun but let's keep things under control. Thanks for listening.

People really arent going around it unless they are using VB code.. and whats wrong with the word if its not even profanity?

***** isn't even a swear word. ****, ****, damn, *******, bitch, etc. are and some of them are censored, some aren't. I wasn't even going around the system. If I swear and it gets censored out, so be it. But if I swear and that word doesn't get censored, I don't see a need to edit posts to edit it out....I mean, come on, "damn" is a swear word and it's not censored.

You people confuse me sometimes.

Listen...What if we were to talk about trees or cactuses? "I fell on a really prickly cactus today and I got needles from it stuck in my hands" etc....Gee, thanks a lot.

I wasn't sure p-r-i-c-k was a swear word, but after searching Google for awhile - I think it is. *****ly wont get censored out.

I *****ed my finger is different then saying boy that guy sure is a *****.

and there's a city in austria called ****ing. its spelled the same but pronounced fooking.

this is what pr-ck means according to dictionary.com

It's the level of the vulgarity that determines whether or not a word is censored. All swear words are not created equally.

The words you mentioned are mild and not vulgar according to dictionary.com
