What cartoon am I thinking of? -- Going crazy - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

This is driving me absolutly insane. When I was a kid I loved this one cartoon that was on afterschool, and thinking back I remember just how totally cool it was. But I cant remember the name, so I cant look it up! Let me describe it..

It was set in the future where this guy had this large underground fortress (he was chased out of the city). His fort could go above ground, or retract below. Along with the main guy, he had a cohort of robots. He had fighting robots, and sports robots (Baseball football, etc). They were smart robots, with personality and such. They always fought against the bag guys in the city, I cant remember why they fought, but all I remember is that their robots had no personality, and were all dumb... which is why they always lost or something.

Thats all I can think of for now. Help me find this little gem from my childhood!

When did it air because now it is in my mind also!! Could it be Go-bots!!

Mid 1990's I think. Its killing me, it was such a cool cartoon :P

This wasn't from my childhood, but for a kid's cartoon, it was a half-way decent show. I actually thought there was going to be an additional season.
