Question Older, or younger than your age indicates?

Are you guys older maturity wise, or younger than your age indicates? For me it's kind of a mixed thing. Some people say I'm naive, and innocent when it comes to things like sex, and relationships, yet on the other hand Iv'e also heard people tell me I'm wise beyond my years. Iv'e had more than one person tell me I'm like a 50 year old trapped in a 22 year olds body. I mostly have older friends, and don't go much for contemporary movies, music, and television etc. that alot of people my age seem to enjoy. I do however enjoy talking to younger people who are beyond their years as well. Anyway, what category do you all fall in. Are you younger, or older than your age says you are?

I would say older (most of the time). Like you, it's a mixed thing. I am 18 right now, but I like a lot of things that 30-50 year old people like. Except for 8 Simple Rules and Trading Spaces, I'm not into the current TV shows and stuff. Same goes for movies...Last time I was to a movie theater was three years ago, in November 2000. I've acted wise beyond my years for a long time, but I'm not into dating or anything, so I'm lacking in that department, but I could give good advice, since I read so many freakin' magazines.

But at the same time, I'm still a kid at heart. I look back fondly at the stuff I grew up with, like DuckTales, Growing Pains, etc. You know, stuff that was popular at the time.

I'd say it's sort of mixed for me, too. I can be really responsible and mature sometimes, but then I can be a lazy, annoying 5 year old like brat As far as TV and other things, I'd say I'm into things most kids my age would like... So yeah, it either depends on my mood or the area. If anything, though, I'd say I'm AT my age level, not above or below it, really.

Everytime I read one of your posts, I'm literally amazed. You are honestly so much like me. You're birthday is three days before mine, The only current show you regularly watch is 8 Simple Rules, same with me, you haven't been to a movie theatre in three years, I haven't been to one for 6, since I saw Titanic. Also you love Back To The Future, like me, you're a nightime person, like me. And you are not much into dating and stuff, which is exactly like me. I think I better do one of those family tree things, because we must be related or something.

Ducktales was an awesome show! I wish the Disney channel would start airing that, and Chip & Dale's Rescue Rangers again.

kind of a mix....i've had people say i look about 15 (i just turned 18) and i sometimes do things like go to the park and run around with my friends for laughs or disney movies one night. But I also am into old movies/TV, politics, and take my theater and dance very seriously, so i'd say that i tend to act older in those cases.

OMG. No way!! Yep, we must be somehow related.

The last movie I saw was "The Grinch That Stole Christmas". I didn't see "Titanic" when it was in theaters, but I saw it on video and didn't like it. :-/

I miss DuckTales and Chip 'n Dale! They had that on Disney til 2000 or so, then moved it to Toon Disney. I don't have the money to shell out for a pay channel, so I'm screwed.

I can relate with the age thing. I'm 22, and when I'm clean shaven, people think I'm like 15, or 16. When I'm unshaven though, they say I look 25, or 26. Even when I go out to ride my bike at nightime the police always stop me, and when they ask how old I am and I say 22, they say how old are you really? It's so annoying sitting there for 10 minutes reciting my birthdate to them over and over again just so they can see if I get it wrong.

Oh, definitely older. *winkady wink*

I've been on Faith Hill's CMT board for almost a year now, and I just told the guys over there that I'm 13...they didn't believe me!!! It's kinda cool to be considered "mature"!

Yeah, I don't even get basic cable anymore, so I'm royally screwed! All I can watch is crappy talk shows, soap operas, and bad modern television that I wouldn't watch if my life depended on it. Thank goodness for the internet, is all I can say.

People have told me I'm a lot more mature than 14. I mean sure, I had a kid side to me, but don't we all?

People have told me that I look and act a lot older than I actually am, but I don't really know. The only reason I look older is because I'm like 5 inches taller than most of the other people in my grade.

When I first started posting here, I honestly thought you were in your 30's, or 40's, no joke! To think that you were only 12 at the time amazes me beyond words!
