Thumbs up

Personally, I wish that they would show it MORE. I love it. I wish that they would get rid of "Mister Ed," "Leave It To Beaver," and the "Flying Nun," and start showing "Bob Newhart," "Mary Tyler Moore," and "Taxi" again. But leave "Sanford and Son" the same!!! LOL!

Default You are so right Hoosier!!

I wish they would show S&S more often also. I also think that they should get rid of "Leave it to Beaver", "Flying Nun", "Gidget"..and "The Beverly Hillbillies". I would be totally happy if they just showed "S&S", "All lin the Family", "The Odd Couple" and "The Andy Griffith Show". That would be TV Heaven!!

Leave it to Beaver needs to stay, that is a good show. However I agree with the Flying Nun and Gidget. I am indifferent to Mr. Ed. I wish they would bring back Bob Newhart and Newhart. Both are very funny shows.

Default If I was Ruler of the World . . . .

. . . . or at least Ruler of TV Land LOL! I would definitely get rid of:

Gidget
Mr. Ed
Flying Nun
Leave It To Beaver
Love Boat
Happy Days

I would replace these shows with:

Bob Newhart Show
Mary Tyler Moore Show
Taxi
Green Acres
Odd Couple
WKRP in Cincy

Of course, Sanford and Son and Andy Griffith Show would stay put on the schedule. Also, Bewitched and I Dream of Jeannie must stay on the schedule as well.

Anyway, if I was "Ruler of TV Land," this would be the way things would be! LOL!

Default Oh, I used to love Happy Days . . .

. . . when it was on originally and I was a kid. Same way with Laverne and Shirley. Now, going on 30 years later, these episodes drive me crazy. I can't stand them anymore for some reason. Same way with Mork and Mindy. Used to love these shows and now I can not stand to watch them. Shows such as IDOJ, Bewitched, Bob Newhart, Sanford, etc., I could never get tired of. The Dick Van Dyke Show is one that I go back and forth between. For the most part, that show is a classic but there are some times where I just don't enjoy watching it anymore for some unknown reason.

and that is compared to what, four hours of "hogans heroes and green acres" 7 days a week for the better part of six years before fianlly taking them off?
nothing against these shows or any other, but to show any show that much is ridiculous. but if you recall, they did just that. i'd rather have 1 1/2 hours of S&S anyday than four hours of either of those anyday.
TVLand's problem is moderation. they play some things too WAY much and others not enough.

Personally I could do without Roseanne and the Cosby show. More Three's Company and Sanford. Also I wish they put some 70's Cop shows on Baretta, Starsky & Hutch, etc.

Default TV Land Schedule is MESSED UP!!!!!

I absolutely hate the new TV Land schedule. I don't like All in the Family that much any more so I could really do without that. I can't stand Family Ties!!!! They don't show Jeannie in the evening anymore so I can't see that now. Cheers is OK but I would rather have Sanford and Son or Bewitched. I agree about the 70's Cop Shows. I would love for them to start showing some of these: Starsky and Hutch; Baretta; Rookies; Swat, etc. That Family Ties really irritates me to no end. I can't stand it. I would rather watch Facts of Life or Different Strokes than this stupid show.

Talking Hi Dutch

Hi Dutch
I just read your "schedule is messed up post and for the most part I agree with you (I would love to see some 70s cop shows or dramas!)
I am curious though, why do you dislike Family Ties so much? Is it the characters or situations? I like the show myself I find it has a warmhearted feel. Also, Michael Gross is a good actor, I have enjoyed him in his other roles as well.
I could do without All in the Family too, that show is a bit dated.
