For me, I personally think Bart is the best character to the Simpsons. I think this because he brings troublsome and exitement to the show, and makes it even better then it already is!!!!!

Just a passing fancy, but all the big laughs seem to revolve around ol' homeboy. I can really relate to that man.

I love Nelson, but he was always a little one-dimensional except for the episode where he cajoles Bart into shooting a bird. Is that also the one where lisa falls for him briefly?
Mr. Burns is a real power character and always manages to command the events around him, but I like Smithers' character best, particularly his love of Monty. Now THAT'S a complex dude...

Homer. His utter stupidity, remarks that make no sense, his screaming/crying sounds funny, the way Hank Azaria does his voice; thy all make a perfect hillarious idiot

Marge. Cut right out of an Edith Bunker mold. Stands by her man, is not too bright but is moral (for the most part), dotes on her family...tries to have a career but doesn't really make it....She's everywoman's everywoman. And what woman can't relate to bad hair days and hundreds of cans of hairspray on the vanity??
