Barbara Billingsley appearing in Christmas Special - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Hi All!

At 80, "Leave it to Beaver" star Barbara Billingsley hasn't slowed down much these days, her charity work and personal appearances keep her as busy as she wants to be. In addition to being Hormel's spokeswoman for SPAM, you can see her in the new NBC holiday movie, "Secret Santa."

The original movie stars Jennie Garth ("What I Like About You," "Beverly Hills, 90210") as a young journalist, Rebecca Chandler, whose cynical take on Christmas lands her in a small town on assignment to uncover the identity of a mysterious philanthropist – or "Secret Santa." In the process, she learns the true meaning of Christmas. Steven Eckholdt ("Providence"), who joins the cast of "The West Wing" this season as President Bartlet's son-in-law, stars as John Carter, the town's generous and handsome millionaire, who quickly becomes Rebecca's prime "suspect." Charlie Robinson ("Night Court") also stars. Robert Tate Miller is the writer. Ian Barry ("The Christmas Wish") is the director. Beth Polson ("The Christmas Wish," "The Last Dance") is executive producer of the presentation from The Polson Company.

"Secret Santa" will air Sunday, December 14th at 9:00PM

i heard something like that! i didn't know it was really gonna happen! i can't wait! i thought barbara retired but apparently not

I can't wait to see Barbara Billingsley in Secret Santa. I'm always so glad for any glimpse of her. Imagine her doing something like that when she's almost 81 years old (birthday is 12-22). I'm so glad she is still so vital and active.

They're beginning to mention the second annual TV Land Awards Show. I hope Barbara will be featured in some way as she was last year. The new schedule on TV Land has LITB on 5 times a day, plus they will have a LITB mini marathon every Wednesday. That tells me LITB is sustaining it's popularity and maybe they will feature some of the stars on the Awards Show. I would just love it if Barbara won an award : ) .

Can you tell I'm a Barbara Billingsley fan?

Of course I would be pleased with any awards the show or cast members won : ) .

i love barbara billingsley, she's my idol!! i just saw her in a movie "three guys named mike" it was about 1952, she was pretty young

(can only have 10 letters for your screen name, so the "e" in cleaver had to go) Sorry if you wanted that name over there too. Wow, I haven't posted here in a LONG TIME!
