I have visited most of the sites that I can find for Whitney Blake. Most of the sites say that her real name is Nancy Baxter, but a few of them claim that it is Nancy Whitney because her fathers last name was Whitney.

Any HELP?

IMDB lists her birth name as Nancy Whitney. She was Nancy Baxter at the time that she was married to Meredith Baxter's father, since she was her mother. Strangely enough IMDB doesn't list that marriage, though it acknowledges Meredith as her daughter. She was married to tv writer Alan Manings at the time of her death. He created One Day at a Time with her, and I've seen his name as the writer of one or two Leave It to Beaver episodes as well.

I am thinking about doing a site in memory of her with vidcaps from most of her movies and TV appearences. It is amazing how many times someone is named Baxter in all the Westerns and Detective shows that she has done. Thank you again and the correct chronology would be:

Whitney
Baxter
Mannings

Anybody else inbetween that you know of?
