as originally planned... see the general board and the post "Lifetime Holiday Highlights" It is not coming back and I have no idea if it will ever come back.
This is horrible news. UPDATE: It now airs Saturday Night/Early Sunday Morning at 1am ET/PT. Thanks to TJ for the info! Let's continue our writing to get it on more. |

Yeah right, "Ellen" and "Suddenly Susan" are better than alerting people about criminals and other things...
Just another reason why I'll never watch Lametime ever again, unless there's nothing else on and "The Golden Girls" is on.

I don't watch anything on Lametime except Unsolved Mysteries.
I will be emailing them a letter of disgust.

Well for one thing... January is a long way off, many networks make changes within 2 or 3 weeks of the new schedule, you have to understand, January is 6 weeks away. I imagine it was some complaints that whatever is replacing UM wasn't shown enough and stuff like that. You also have to remember that Lifetime has been showing UM for almost 12 years, the older episodes have aired over 25 times. The ratings were probably low as well. They have the rights to it, so until they end the rights to air it, it could still come back to Lifetime, but I am not hopeful. The good news is back in 2002 when Lifetime's contract was up, several networks including A&E had an interest in the show, so maybe one day it will go to another network, but I am not hopeful for that either.
Our best bet will be to write Lifetime personally and email as well and try to get the show to come back. Who knows, maybe beyond January we can. From 2:30am til like 6 or 7am, Lifetime shows Paid crap anyway. That's plenty of space to stick UM in. |

I understand. If we don't act civil when writing, we certainly won't get the show back.

Does anyone know the e-mail address to let Lifetime know we want UM back? I looked at the site and couldn't find where to contact them.

It's listed on the Lifetime site now on Saturday night/Sunday mornings at 1AM EST/PST. One airing a week is better then having it completely off the schedule.

[CC] November 29 Saturday 1:00 am Featured stories: Mad Maggio--Fugitive Jon Maggio is wanted for embezzling hundreds of thousands of dollars. Authorities believe he is currently traveling with his wife, gambling in casinos across the country and looking for new victims to scam; cop assault; resurrection Mary; Dennis Keith Smith; Vietnam Orphans. [CC] December 6 Saturday 1:00 am Featured stories: Amber Swartz - Seven young girls disappear and authorities wonder if a serial killer is on the loose; Gordy's Ghost Pts 1 & 2; Motorcycle Mom. [CC] December 13 Saturday 1:00 am Featured Stories: Bonnie Craig - Police try to uncover whether she was raped and killed by someone she knew or by someone hired by her vengeful mother; Dial's Escape; Zel's Odyssey. [CC] December 20 Saturday 1:00 am Featured stories: Star Palumbo has been missing for over a year, after she was spotted in a restricted area of Reno/Tahoe International Airport, and then the discovery of an illegally parked car at the airport containing Star's personal possessions, including copies of emails sent to the White House indicating that Star felt the government was trying to murder her; Update: Gilbert Ortiz, whose wife poisoned him eight years earlier is finally aprehended, allowing him to reunite with his son; a doctor tells a young woman that her newborn died, but it was later confirmed that the baby she buried was not her own -- where is her baby?; since 1984, Bill and Dorothy Wacker claim they have been the victims of vicious harassment -- anonymous phone calls, threatening notes, burglaries and even violent assaults -- but there are no suspects or motives identified; two women, April Gregory and Kristin Smart, disappeared without a trace from their college campuses, 3000 miles apart. Starring: Robert Stack [CC] December 27 Saturday 1:00 am Featured Stories: Donna on Fire - Police investigate whether the deaths of a Houston teller and her children in a fire are connected to an extortion note received at her bank just five weeks earlier; Cop Assault; Bentwaters UFO; Preppie Rape Trial. Well, hey, it's good to have UM back on, but Lametime still deserves their name I've made up for them.

For real. The Nanny still airs 9 TIMES A DAY and don't even get me started on those HORRIBLE movies. They call theirselves "Television for Women" but most of the movies show men terrorizing Women. Give me a break! I loved it when Unsolved Mysteries was on 3 or 4 times a day... hopefully, when Lametime's contract is up they will give it to a network that will show all the episodes in order.
I suggest we continue to write to Lametime(email or mail) and ask them to put UM on more when they make the next round of schedule changes. From 2:30am to 6am in the morning, Lifetime shows Paid programming anyway, why not stick Unsolved Mysteries somewhere in there every night? We aren't asking for a lot... |
