Yeah right, "Ellen" and "Suddenly Susan" are better than alerting people about criminals and other things...

Just another reason why I'll never watch Lametime ever again, unless there's nothing else on and "The Golden Girls" is on.

I don't watch anything on Lametime except Unsolved Mysteries.

I will be emailing them a letter of disgust.

Well for one thing... January is a long way off, many networks make changes within 2 or 3 weeks of the new schedule, you have to understand, January is 6 weeks away. I imagine it was some complaints that whatever is replacing UM wasn't shown enough and stuff like that. You also have to remember that Lifetime has been showing UM for almost 12 years, the older episodes have aired over 25 times. The ratings were probably low as well. They have the rights to it, so until they end the rights to air it, it could still come back to Lifetime, but I am not hopeful. The good news is back in 2002 when Lifetime's contract was up, several networks including A&E had an interest in the show, so maybe one day it will go to another network, but I am not hopeful for that either.

Our best bet will be to write Lifetime personally and email as well and try to get the show to come back. Who knows, maybe beyond January we can. From 2:30am til like 6 or 7am, Lifetime shows Paid crap anyway. That's plenty of space to stick UM in.

When you voice your displeasure about this, do so in a civil manner. Hostility of any kind WILL NOT help!

I understand. If we don't act civil when writing, we certainly won't get the show back.

Does anyone know the e-mail address to let Lifetime know we want UM back? I looked at the site and couldn't find where to contact them.

I'm not sure of the email address, but you'd be much better off contacting them via snail mail. It can never be stressed enough times that physical letters carry far more weight than emails. (I mean, you could email them, but they might delete it, making it easier for them to forget or pretend that the message never arrived.)

I remember first learning about plans to reactivate UM as a first-run cable series, and that several cable networks, including A&E, expressed interest in the show. I kind of hoped that A&E would obtain the series, even though it was inevitable that Lifetime would end up the winner. Still, had Lifetime passed on the show, A&E would probably have been the best bet for UM. I think it would have fit into the channel's lineup very well, despite the possible risk of being confused with other reality/documentary shows that air on that network (such as Biography, Cold Case Files, and American Justice).

It's listed on the Lifetime site now on Saturday night/Sunday mornings at 1AM EST/PST. One airing a week is better then having it completely off the schedule.

Well, hey, it's good to have UM back on, but Lametime still deserves their name I've made up for them.

For real. The Nanny still airs 9 TIMES A DAY and don't even get me started on those HORRIBLE movies. They call theirselves "Television for Women" but most of the movies show men terrorizing Women. Give me a break! I loved it when Unsolved Mysteries was on 3 or 4 times a day... hopefully, when Lametime's contract is up they will give it to a network that will show all the episodes in order.

I suggest we continue to write to Lametime(email or mail) and ask them to put UM on more when they make the next round of schedule changes. From 2:30am to 6am in the morning, Lifetime shows Paid programming anyway, why not stick Unsolved Mysteries somewhere in there every night? We aren't asking for a lot...
