Default Favorite G.I episode's moments?

What were your favorite episode's moments of G.I?Mine are:

In Goodbye island:Gilligan& the Skipper were stucked on the boat.Classic moment!

In the christmas episode. When the castaways heard on the radio that they are going to be rescued. There were from the pilot.Wonderful!

In the producer's episode with Phil Silver.Hamlet(the musical)Funny and cleaver!

In up at bat:When Gilligan dream that he is a vampire.I like when the Skipper and the professor were colonel Watney and inspector Sherlock. It was a good twist from their characters.

The episode where the space satellite lands on the island and everybody gets glued with feathers and at the space station they think they found life on Mars.

Gilligan's tooth becomes a radio.

The beauty contest episode

Where Gilligan hauls in a World War 2 mine.

The one where they eat the radioactive vegetables.

I liked Gilligan's vampire dream the best of all the dream sequences on the show. Everything clicked in that sequence.

Somemore:
B&W
Gilligan eating up everything (the Skipper finds this out--the hard way)-"TWO ON A RAFT",now on DVD,I plan to buy this and BTW I'm going to Vegas tomorrow and am plannng to buy it at the CAESARS PALACA:FORUM SHOPS"VIRGIN STORE-,written by LAWRENCE J.FREEMAN and FRED COHEN,directed by JOHN RICVH (who seems to have had a knack for directed early sitcom episodes, as episdoes of THE DICK VAN DYKE SHOW, BRADY BUNCH and ALL IN THE FAMILY also will prove=Barry Williams in GROWING UP BRADY recalls being terifiered to heck of him as a director),1964

GInger and Mary Ann's breataking trunk twister's to a Jack LaLanne exercise radio show, much to the, um, leerings of the Skipper-"X MARKS THE SPOT",one of the only episodes written bYSherwood himself, plus older brojher AL SCHWARTZ and AUSTIN KALISH one of directed by JACK ARNOLD (if I recall correctly,1964

Wrongway Feldman (Hans Conried) complaining that Gilligan & Skipper won't let him sleep-asking "What is this, a hut or a lighthouse?"-"THE RETURN OF WRONGWAY FELDMAN"-written by LAWRENCE J.FREEMAN, dircted by GENE NELSON,1965

The several attempts by the skipper and Gilligan to help the skipper lose weight,-"PHYSICIAL FATNESS", writen bY HERBERT FINN and ALAN DINEHART<, directed by GARY NELSON who directed the original, pre-Lindsay Lohan "FREAKY FRIDAY" back in 1976 with Jodie Foster for Disney (not to mention the oner with forgotten 1990s star Gaby Hoffman in 1995)

Color:
Well, we might as well like the first season, go to the first of the second..The skipper being convinced that he has to marry a fat native girl (Mary Foran) before being tgold that it's GILLIGAN, not him, who has to marry said girls (natives, played besides Ms.Froan by Jim Backus's wife Henny and Russell Grieve, followed by suitor (and first time on the isalnd) Eddie LittleSky, who'd become a staple of the color episodes), arrive on the island looking for a potential hbusband for the natve girl)-"GILLIGAN'S MOTHER IN LAW",written by BUDD GROSSMAN, Directed by JACK ARNOLD,1965

When Gilligan fished Mary Anne's swimsuit off (in 1965????!!)-"BEAUTY IS AND BEAUTY DOES",written by JOANNA LEE, directed by JACK ARNOLD (first to have th speeded up Gilligan ending written, btw not by regular composer Gerald Fried, but by John Williams ("JAWS","MINORITY REPORT","SAVING PRIAVTE RYAN""HARRY POTTER","STAR WARS",etc.),sounding A LOT like his later "POTTER" theme, over the "Gilligan" Coconut Island cross-dissolve and logo before the end credits.1965.

When Gilligan broke the space lens and the space folks saw the dcaatsways (who'd, through one of the manya ccidents, got covered with feathers!),and gasped-:"CHICKEN PEOPLE"-"SMILE! YOU'RE ON MARS CAMERA", writen by BRUCE HOWARD and AL SCHWARTZ< directed by JACK ARNOLD,1965

The singalong to the tune of "HARRIGAN" (1900s) by the castaways and dictator Nehemiah Persoff (forgot the character';s name)-"LITTLE DICTATOR",Sherwood's favorite and one of mine, aired IRONICALLY on TVLAND Nickat niught on Sept.10,2001-right before some REAL dictators bombed WTC..eerie,huh?Written by BRADD RADNITS(?),directed by JACK ARNOLD,1965

When the castaways found out that despite their assumption throughtout the particular episode, the islandf WASN'T sinking-"QUICK BEFORE IT SINKS",written by STAN BURNS and MIME MARMER, the creators of LANACELOT LINK TSECRET CHIMPO,directed by G.M.CAHAN,not to be confused with the writer of HARRIGAN (which in the above episode is parioed in a dream sequence tribute to dictator Gilligan), GEORGE M.COHAN,1965

The many goof ups the Robot does- "GILLIGAN'S LIVING DOLL", written by BOB STEVENS, directed by LESLIE GOODWINS,1966

Mary Ann dreaming that she's in a hosptial-"THE POSTMAN COMETH", written by ALAN DINEHART and HERBERT FINN, directed by LESLIE GOODWINS,1966

Gillian turning on the bamboo plumbing, cuaisng some Gumby soudn effect (which I seem to hear in Aardman/Nick Park/Pathe (which was doing a lot of colorbal service then, possibly for GI/Dreamworks's 2000 blockbuster "CHICKEN RUN",during a factory scene, then agian sound FX are public domain and easily imitated but in GI it IS that effect), and later Gilligan and Ginger trekking up the volcano (whbich is the actual plot)-"OPERATION:STEAM HEAT", Written by TERRENCE AND JOANIE MAPLES,directed by S.Z.CHERRY,March 10,1966

Anytime Mr.Howell got ballistic when an imposter came up as a subject (the of three episodes of such nature),"WILL THE REAL MR>HOWELL PLEASE STAND UP?, written by Budd Grossman, directed by Jack Arnold,March 17,1966, companions being (not lkisted here otherwise) GILLGIAN VS GILLIGAN and ALL ABOTU EVA, both written by Joanna Lee and directed by Jerry Hopper, first September 12,1966,and the second, three months later December 12,1966.

The many hauntings in GHOST A Go GO,written by Roland MacLAne and directed by Leslie Goodwins,March 24,1966,but particarly when eerie music made its debut with Gilligan walking into the ghost, the castaways looking at the boatg filled with dumies to fool the ghost, and sao forth.

Almost all of ALLERGY TIME, written by Budd Grossman, directed by JACK ARNOLD,March 31,1966

The eerie castle with vultures (Dr.Boris Balinkoff's(Vito Scotti)) castle-"THE FREINDLY PHYSICIAN",written by ELROY SCHWARTZ (Sherwood's brother), directed by JACK ARNOLD,and of coruse the character transposing in that episode, which aired on APril7,1966 originally.

The stark shot of Gilligan approaching the "Giant Skipper" castle, again accomapined by the eerie Gerald Fried electric organ music with multiple descening notes, then dissolve to the frotn and Mary Ann warning him "this is the castle of the mean and cruel giant',and Bob's kid Patrick standing in as a tall, terrifying ALan Hale runs around trying to catch him (to Fried's tropical chase theme--I'm listening to Martin Denny, who did a lot of Hawiaan music and often wonder if he did any unbilled Gilligan music. The piece, also knwon as "Dr.Boris Balinkoff's' music to yours truly, sounds like a martial MUNSTERS theme, usually climaxcing in a five-not brass riff - used durign the aforementioned Dr.Boris castle scene--Gilligan's equivalent to the great Stanley Kubrick's scary EYES WIDE SHUT music in SK's swansong flick). The episode, first aired 4/14/66 (11 years before Sarah Michelle Gellar), making it TWO castle episodes in a row, was written by Outer Limits, etc.veteran Barney Slater in his only story for the show, and dircted by veteran Jack Arnold.

THe various eerie, surreal "glowing meteorite" scenes in MEET THE METOR, April 28,1966, written by Elroy Schwartz and directed by Jack Arnold.

Skipper telling Mary Anne that he's glad she DOESN't have his legs (SEE? SEE? He LUSTS for Mary Ann..) in PASS THE VEGATBLES PLEASE, Sept.1966 as we move into a new season, Directed by Leslie Goodwins..

Gilligan throwing the key out in his Don Knotts/Barney Fife spree, "GILLIGAN GOES GUNG HO", the only episode directed by Robert Scheerer, but written by veteran of "near rescue" shows Bruce Howard.

The scene of veteran character actor Strother Martin as George Barkely in a Survivor of itsd era within a Survivor type show-radio game show, Take a Dare, and the skipper and Gilligan seeing yet another conman on the island (cf.Hecuba,Norbert WIley, the castaway lookalikes,etc.). Also, the announcer (probaly Frank Nelson) saying "Are there PEOPLE on the island.." then Gilligan explaining HIS reason for not reporting a hellicopter--he was told to yell if he saw NOT a chopper but a BOAT.....and he knows the difference (Barkey HAS left in said craft), then the castaways hearing that (after contestatant Barkley threw the transmitter on the jagged rocks), that it is in the TRANSMITTER that the money he'd expected to win as a prize was..)..and Howell goes looking for it.."TAKE A DARE:",written by Roland MacLane, directed by Stalnley Z.Cherry,Janaury 2,1967

SOme of the suicide jokes and the dream ("Lord Admiral Gilligan") in "COURT MATTIAL",written agan by MacLane, directed by Gary Nelson, January 9 (Denver's birthday!),1967, the start odf a new package of music cues (which had actaullly started to debut a few episodes earlier but really invaded the island soundtrack here-among theme the swashbuckling cue...and our old friend the weird, eerie electric organ from the previous season as Gilligna, about to wake up from the nightmare, "walks the PL<AWNK").

Rory Calhoun leading Gilligan away as the spooky "Balinkoff's Castle mujsic" is heard underneath (cr."HIGH MAN ON THE TOTEM POLE" below),"THE HUNTER",written by BEN GERHSMAN, WM.FREDMAN,Directed by LESLIE GOODWINS,January 16,1967

A nerdy Mary ANn (and later bald Ginger!) in "LOVEY'S SECRET ADMIRER",written by Alan Dinehart & Herbert Finn and diretced by David MacDearmon (along with "OUR VINES HAVE TENDER APES" which followed in the show and below, given a chance at directing two GI eps), during the Cinderella sequence,1967

Mary Ann telling Tongo (D.S.Miller) tghat he can stop pretending to be an ape man, since the castways just want to ask him some squestions, from "OUR VINES HAVE TENDER APES",directed by David MacDearmon ,1967

Gilligan finding many reminders of headhuntrers--a liablity, he's sure, due to his seeing a "doppleganger Gilligan" totem pole head, and Mary Ann running to tell the Skipper & Professor that Gilligan's going something weird (which turns out to be cutting off the Kupaki--wrongly called KAPU-ki in many refernce books, including author Joey Green';s otherwise excellent 1988 "GILLIGAN'S ISLAND HANDBOOK:",the first I know of of on the show), then when he tries to fool the REAL headhunters to save the other castaways, fouling up the magic word, Pula Se Baguma (great Morton Stevens cues, a lot like exotica veterans LEs Baxter, Art Lyman and abovementioned Martin Denny, who a half decade before were finsihing off a great island music career)
under this scene.Frim "High Man on the totewm Pole",the sole episode directed by veteran movie and televisoion director Herbert Coleman, written by series regular writer Brad Radnitz
February 27,1967

Sterliing Holloway (fresh off his first Pooh film and before Kaa, his very next role or Disney then) enjoying his freedom (while a stock shot from the second/third season end credits, the one that which begions the end-"Now listen to the tale...." the camera draws back), and the spider scenes, ijn "THE PIGEON", written by Jack Raymond and Brad Radnitz and directed by M.J.Kane,1967

Other episdoes have too many moments, esp.the famed Harold Hecuba and Professor as Zombia episodes for any indidvidual moments to stand out..

THose are a few..
