Question Beatles Fans- a question

Have you ever heard the Christmas message records they did from 1963 to '69?

Every year, they'd send one out to members of their fan club & now I guess they're collector's items. I got lucky & found a cd copy of all 7 recordings & man those guys were funny! Especially John. What a wise-ass he was! The recordings are very telling of their career as a band. They start of as just 4 fun-loving guys & all in the same room. By '66, the drug influences are noticable & even moreso by '67. And in '68 & '69, they do them seperately.

Try to get hold of em, they're a fun & interesting listen.

I have all seven of them. They're all great. The '68 and '69 ones are especially weird, since none of them are in the same room together.

"Henry Hall and David Lloyd, Betty Grable too."

I have heard the earlier ones. They did have a very wicked sense of humor. They are fun to listen to, would love to hear the later ones. I love how they would say their names as each one spoke.

I have "The Beatles Christmas Album" on cassette featuring seven Christmas greetings from through the years 1963 to 1969. I love the 1967 one featuring the song "Christmas Time Is Here Again" and a whole lot of crazy sketches including Victor Spinetti. This Christmas '67 release was recorded at EMI's Studio 2 and it was the last time the Beatles recorded a Christmas message together and it was also the last time George Martin presided over the recordings according to the book "The Ultimate Beatles Encyclopedia" by Bill Harry. I love the part at the end where they were saying "Thank you for a wonderful year!" and the snow storm sound effect was used and John Lennon recited the poem. I love this part of the album.
