Default Question for People born in 1980 or after

How many of you will watch the JFK programs on the History Channel and other networks discussing the 40th anniversary of the JFK assasination? I only asked because most people I know who was born after 1980 said they have no interest in watching.

I don't think I'll watch. It's not out of disrespect to him, It's just that Iv'e seen countless documentaries on his life, and death, and I doubt there will be any new revelations made in this biography that I haven't already heard about before. If I want to learn more about him, I'll probably just go to the library, and get a book about his life. You can learn alot more about someone from a book then you can from a one, or two hour documentary.

That's very true. I prefer books over TV documentaries, IMO, for the same reason you mentioned.

I will... MSNBC has one on Monday Night at 9pm ET where they will be interviewing prominent Americans today(Jay Leno, John McCain, John Kerry, Hillary Clinton and others). I was born in 1988 and my dad was only 10 months old when Kennedy shot. I will defintely watch, I like documentaries made about Presidents... There will a bunch of others on other networks as well.

Yes, I would, because I find the whole "Kennedy" family very interesting. I have did a couple of reports on JFK and he was a very interesting man.

I think it may be a little different this year because it's the 40th anniversry. I don't think there will be lots of programs about it next year around this time. The last time i remember seeing a lot of programs about it was 1993 which was the 30th anniversary

I'm going to be out but you can bet I'm taping it. I'm a bit of a history freak and have read a lot about JFK and the supposed "magic bullet" theory.
