Oh yeah, I remember Friday Night Videos.

They used to have lots of guests and revolving hosts.

Oh god- I used to watch that, but not every week. I remember that opening logo w/ the revolving, angular tube thingy. All those neon colors etc!
I didn't know it lasted into 2000. Wow.

OMG YES!!! In the 70's those were the biggest shows!!!! I freaked when I saw BLACK SABBATH on Don Kirschner's Rock Concert in 1976!!!!! IT WAS THE COOLEST THING!!!!!

And a few years later, I liked watching Midnight Special with Wolfman Jack, and I thought it was okay--UNTIL I SAW THE KILLEREST EPISODE WITH TED NUGENT HOSTING WITH AC/DC, CHEAP TRICK, AND THIN LIZZIE ON THANKSGIVING WEEKEND IN 1978!!!!!! That one episode was so cool, but too bad they never did anything like that again. Hard rock and heavy metal were just not appreciated by the mainstream back then.

And yes, I remember watching Friday Night Videos; in 1985/86, Mindy Cohn and Kim Fields from The Facts of Life were doing one episode, where they featured "You Give Love a Bad Name" by Bon Jovi and others. I wish Lisa had appeared on FNV....She could have introduced some videos by Megadeth or someone.

NBC's "Friday Night Videos" was a secondary MTV show. I haven't watched it in years.
