Today, of course, is November 13, when Felix Unger was requested to remove himself from his place of residence. That request, as we are now all aware, came from his wife. The thing I always noticed about this nonfactoid, though, was that it was one of a few inconsistencies between the TV show and the movie. The 1968 film had Felix breaking up with his wife in the middle of July.
Also, his wife was named Frances, not Gloria, in the movie. Furthermore, Felix was a newswriter, not a photographer. And yet, after all this, Neil Simon still went ahead and made a cameo appearance in an "Odd Couple" episode. Go figya, as they say in New York.

That is right. November 13th is a very important date for roommates everywhere. My roomie and I celebrate every year.
Cheers to Felix and Oscar!

I love Neil Simon's Odd Couple so much more than the show.

I saw a little bit of the opening with a voice-over narrator and who narrated the opening?

I'm not sure, Brooklyn Guy, but I'm guessing it was Jackson Beck, who provided the hilarious mock-documentary narration on Woody Allen's Take the Money and Run.
