Why would anyone leave their apartment door open? - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Did anyone watch "What I like About You" on Thursday Novemeber 6, 2003? Valerie had gone to Chicago on business. So Lauren stayed in the apartment with Holly. Then Holly's boyfriend Henry goes to visit Princeton. Holly misses Henry and wants to surprise him at Princeton, so she goes there along with Lauren and Tina. At a party a Princeton, Holly receives a call from Henry, and he tells her that he is in her apartment in NYC. So the question is how did he get in her apartment. Did Holly and Lauren leave the door unlocked? Who is world would do that in NYC? Or does Henry have a key. I know Henry seems like an honest and inocent guy, but it would seem weird that he would have the key.

He could have just been AT their apt. but not actually IN it.

on TV shows, everyone leaves their apartment door either opened or unlocked. Example: Three's Company
