Post Recap of Nancy on Rosie

Hi everyone just got done watching Nancy on Rosie. I have to be honest Nancy looks better than I have ever seen her. She looks as if she was 25. The first thing that came up was her birthday. She would not state her age. She turned 35 yestersday if Im not mistaken. Like I said she certainly did not look it. Then Fol was mentioned briefly. She said the cast was great. Then she stated she loved Charlotte Rae and Rae was doing great. Then she plugged the division a little. Thats about it very short about 9-12 minutes. Unfortunetly nothing about the Fol reunion came up. Thanks everyone!

I don't think that Nancy wants to talk about the reunion, because she doesn't want to be part of it. She'd be kind of embarrassed to speak about The Facts, because she has her own major hit series right now, and she's not reading the lines of easy rider, Jo anymore. Nope, she reading the lines of a grown-up woman. I'm going to be watching Rosie in a few hours here, but thanks for telling me anyways.

I agree with Andrew. I could tell she was embarassed right when they metioned The Facts of Life she had this sorta smile on her face like she hated to talk about it.

Did you guys notice that when FOL was mentioned, she never looked up, directly at the host. She seemed so embarassed!

I enjoyed her spot on RosieO. I think it may have been the way she was wearing her hair, but she looked more like Jo than she did like Jinny.

OK, that was a total shout-out to all of us on the Lifetime chat who kept telling her that Lisa Ruchon was on "The Greek Connection"!!!!

Thumbs up

I just watched my tape and I thought Nancy's hair and outfit were great! She should consider wearing her hair that way on The Division. From now on I may just tell people that my age is 29f, lol.

I noticed, too, how she brought up the Lifetime chat...I'm glad we were able to enlighten her about Lela Rochon being in the Tootie sorority episode. Very cool, indeed.

Nancy also didn't seem as shy as she did on The View a few months ago...even heard a few of the patented 'Jo' laughs. The only disappointment was that we didn't get to see Rosie and Nancy intereact. I have a feeling Rosie would've definitely asked more questions about FOL.

Question

First off, thanks for the re-cap of the Rosie appearance. While I missed Rosie, I did catch Nancy on the View.

You guys are right about how a mention of Jo or the Facts causes her to look a little embarrassed.

My favorite theory on that behavior? McKeon is such a level-headed and (even though she's an actress) normal sort of person that lots of adoring comments are tough to react to. Imagine how many times she's heard how super she was on the show? How she made an impact on teenagers? How she and the rest were role models for a generation then and now on Nick.

While I'm sure she genuinely appreciates the comments -- I get the impression that a lot of praise makes her uncomfortable. So, here's to hoping that its all the compliments about the show -- and not the show itself -- that cause her to do the "aw, shucks!" thing in interviews.

I was so disappointed we didn't get to see Rosie and Nancy together. But it was still great to see Nancy.

Good point Devon King, Nancy may just be shy when it comes to all that praise and attention. Although like Nancy said, its probably a little embarassing knowing everyone can still watching you go through puberty.

Does anyone have this on video. I'd really like to see it. I'd even take a copy to view then return it.

Thanks...

I'd like to see it too!!!

I know that Nancy wants nothing to do with FOL in her life now, but the fact remains that it will come up in interviews from time to time. She knows this and no matter how she feels, will have to try and be polite about it. I mean FOL MADE her. I don't think she'd be where she is today without it. And I also think she should have made an effort to be in at least a part of the reunion movie. Like showing up at Thanksgiving dinner or something.
It would be weird seeing her play Jo again. I look at her today and don't see Jo at all. Then I go back and watch FOL when I want to see her. She does such a different kind of acting on The Division. Oh well....at least she's on tv!

I dont know I never had the pleasure of seeing her on the facts of life... I became a fan of Nancy McKeon from the division when I originally dug Lisa Vidal and got interested in the "alcoholic chick" as i refered to her back then. But when I found out she was on the facts of life... i was shocked because I didnt know at all and I had never seen teh show last year and I was sort of curious of what she looked like as a little girl.. and I watched the fandamonium and absolutely fell in love with her LOL So theres my story on her.... the thing is, she loved being on the facts of life, she wants to move on and its hard when people are always harassing her with facts of life questions about this and that and she is like... yeah yeah yeah, that was lilke over 20 years ago you guys LOL.... anyway, I would love to see her on rosie... too bad they never repeat it

You know, Nancy McKeon has had a great affect on my life ever since I discovered her last July 2001 on Lifetime's The Division. She is like my mentor and my lifetime goal is to one day meet her and tell her that she saved my life. If it weren't for Nancy, I don't know where I'd be today. She has touched so many lives, I'm one of them. Nancy made me realize that life's worth living, and to not give up on mine... no matter how angry I get.
