I think Roy Jones Jr. would gain alot from kicking Mike Tyson's butt. Mike Tyson may not be what he use to be, but he is still one of the toughest, and most feared boxers today, and If Roy Jones could beat him, (and I'm sure he can), he would gain tons of respect, and would most likely be assured a title shot. I think he has everything to gain, and nothing to lose in a fight like this. The only question I have is, would Mike Tyson accept a challenge from Ray? And that I'm not too sure of. Aside from the money, I can't see anything that Mike would gain from a fight like this, unless he could pulled off a miraculous upset.

I couldn't disagree more if someone held a gun to my head and said, "Disagree more."

Mike Tyson is like burnt toast.......way over done. Jones has plenty to lose because you always have plenty to lose when you fight a loser.

Of course Tyson would accept a fight from Jones.......Tyson is broke!!!! Tyson doesn't think so much about winning anymore.....he thinks about not having to work at a real job.

He may be way overdone in many people's eyes, but do you realize how many people still tune in to see this way overdone man fight? I believe his fight against Lennox Lewis got monster ratings. For Tyson being such a loser, he sure gets alot of people to tune in and see him fight. The media attention alone should be enough reason for Roy to fight him. He'd probably get his face on tv more from this fight, then from all his other fights combined. How can that be a bad thing for a guy like Roy who obviously loves getting his face out there?

As far as Mike being a loser goes, that may be true outside the ring, but how many fights has he lost in the last five years or so, in the ring? Not too many. Sure, his opponents haven't been great, but with the crop of fighters he's had to choose from, who else was he suppose to fight? Even when he got brutalized by Lennox Lewis, he showed alot of heart, and lasted several rounds. Most guys would have went down way before Mike did. I doubt 90 percent of the current heavyweights today would last that many rounds against the World Champion. This may be a sad statement for the sport of boxing, but Mike Tyson is still one of the top heavyweights in the world whether people like to admit that or not.

Btw, What I mean by Mike possibly not wanting to fight Roy is that he may want to take a safer route, and fight other, less threatening guys. Roy is a very dangerous fighter, and with the current crop of heavyweights, I don't see anyone that can beat him. Mike's legacy has been tarnished beyond belief, and I'm just not sure if he'll want to risk tarnishing it more by getting knocked out in the first or second round, which I think is what would happen if he fought Roy Jones Jr.

I never said Jones shouldn't fight him. I responded to you saying Jones would have nothing to lose by fighting him.

Of course I realize how many people tune in to see him fight. Still, he is done as a championship quality fighter. People tune in because they want to see him get his ass handed to him. It's the age old good guy vs. bad guy that promoters have been creating for decades. His abilities and how many people watch him fight are two different things entirely.

Also, just because people tune in to his fights doesn't mean that he's not a loser. His quality of life sucks; he has very little morals about him and couldn't care less about people in general. This guy should have the world by the short hairs and look at him. He's made hundreds of millions of dollars and he's broke.

Jones is the draw here, not Tyson. Tyson should be begging Jones for the fight because as I said before, it would be an easy way to get out from down under and guys like Mike would take a brutal beating rather than actually have to work for a living.

If you're talking about Roy and Mike, they've never fought. This is just a rumored bout for a possible fight in the future. If you mean when are Mike, and Lennox fighting again, there is no scheduled rematch for that fight at this time either. I guess right now everyone's just weighing their options.
