Possibly a take off
The very last movie from Laurel & Hardy titled"Utopia",which was released in the year 1950,[believe it or not,Laurel & Hardy had been in movies that long]had Stan and Ollie recieve a certain inheritance.It invovled the two of them sailing out to sea on a small yacht,with two stowaways.The four of them became friends and were soon caught in a major thunderstorm.They then ended up washed ashore on an unknown island,where they built themselves a temporary home,and were joined by a woman who had run away from a marriage that she didn,t want.So the island became home to the five of them,temporarily.Any of this sound familiar?Do you suppose Gilligan,s Island was a slight take off from this movie?
