Christmas is so commercialized now that they have to be advertising this early to beat everyone else's advertising.

Our mall had their Christmas decorations up last Monday.

The blue sky, the desert earth, stretching out into the eerie infinity. A beautiful never-ending nothing.

November's not too early to bring out anything Christmas related. Shopping areas are already setting up the decorations and putting up displays of product. In my area, they usually officially "light up" the public displays by Thanksgiving. My guess is that it will a bit sooner this year since Thanksgiving is happening so late in the month this year.

Face it... People shop for gifts during this time of year. Many folks have to ship those same gifts to relatives out of state. You have to have your packages ready by early December. Hmm... November too early? Not at all.

Besides that, the economy is down, and stores have to compete with online shopping.

Commercials have to precede the shopping sprees if they are to be at all effective.

My mom has already bought most of the Christmas presents for this year, but the tree isn't going up til Thanksgiving. That is normally when we decorate.

They do so very, very much commercialized Christmas for stuff like toys, eating, Santa Clause, and things and people not associated with the One, Only, and True meaning of Christmas. The birth of our Savior & Lord, Jesus Christ and the same thing they do on Easter. Colored Eggs, Easter Bunny, Candy, Advertisers scrambling to tickle our fancys!!
