Recently my family and myself had the chance to eat at Dick Clark's American Bandstand Grill. Had me thinking... With so many "themed restaurants" out there such as Hard Rock Cafe, Nascar Cafe, Have A Nice Day ( an all 70s food place ), I believe there are restaruants that use Motown and Harley Davidson Motorcycles as themes, why not a restaurant with a sitcom theme?
Some sitcoms you could very well use a single show as a theme such as a Gilligans Island Restaurant. A "Lucy" themed food place would work as well. Kinda suprised Lucie Arnaz & Desi Jr haven't already thought of this. Would be quite easy to start up since they own all the rights of Lucy & Desi ( I think ). Name the place "Desliu Cafe" or even "Club Babalu". You can even feature other Lucy tv shows like Lucy Show, Here's Lucy to the mix. Food places that existed only on sitcoms like Jack's Bistro ( 3's Company), Bigger Jigger ( Mama's Family ), Arnolds ( Happy Days ), and Mel's Diner ( Alice )not only could be brought to life as real restaurants but would also give the sitcom fan the chance to "live" in their sitcom fantasy, just like the American Banstand Grill gives people who lived back then a chance to relive their youth and those who weren't born yet a taste of 50s life. Any ideas for sitcom restaurants? Cheers I believe is a real life bar in Boston. Colorado has a few Gunther Toody restaurants but despite the name there is litte connection to Car 54 other than the 50s and early 60s theme. |

I think "Regal Beagles" should open up around the country.

My friend and I once had a very detailed plan for a Monkees themed casino in Las Vegas.
